I have the opportunity to buy a Sunday tix for stone today. But I really want an honest feedback on the quality of sound from all 4 stages at stone techno?

For me personally quality of sound comes first, absolutely no comprise what so ever. Rest everything is secondary.

How balanced was the sound on all 4 stages, was it robust & prescise enough to listen to the music a little bit outside the stage as well?

Where do I begin?

In the month of jan-feb, I saw danza futura announce polygonia & civic instruction live and I thought to myself "wow this looks interesting" let me do a bit of research about the festival itself.

Started listening to setoac mass b2b phara's b2b set from last year's edition and it blew my mind.

Read some reviews about the festival on Reddit and the people who attended last year's edition dint hype it up that much, for the fact that it was happening at a forest type setting & not a lot of videos about it on social media I told myself this is exactly my type of thing, let's get tickets for it.

Fast forward a few months, I'm sitting here writing my experience about the festival. My mind still wandering around the grounds of the festival completely blown away by the experience of it all.

1 stage only

The lineup looked incredible. Exactly the type of sounds I would listen to in a forest type setting.

The festival was organised incredibly well. Kudos to the organisers for pulling it off, it definitely exceeded my expectations especially the quality of sound which scrambled my soul.

At the festival there were options for food which were at a reasonable price. Great Italian food & fast food. The Only minus, we had to pay for water and tap water wasn't available which was a shame.

Great service at the bars as well. Lots of chill spots to decompression & relax. Can enter & exit the festival as per your convenience. Outside the festival there was a huge mini park type space to relax from the thunderous quality of sound which was very much needed at some point during the festival.

Day 1

Now coming to the main aspect of the festival. The sets.

Was absolutely blown to smeetherens by it all. Tauceti played a very deep x immersive set, perfect for a warmup then Claudio PRC started the party, that's when we started seeing signs of what the sound system can actually do in such type of a setting.

The lighting was absolutely incredible, very trippy & visual. Amazing synchronization with the sound as well.

Ignez played an incredible live set followed by queen Adriana lopez. She basically toyed with the equaliser blasting it in full. Played such a ferocious and a poisonous set especially with the lighting system,the bass was so extreme that I felt it bombard my entire body, at some point I had to step out and had to decompress, she's just a dark magic practitioner behind the decks.

Loved civic instruction & setoac mass too, was getting a big exhausted so caught a little bit of Blasha & allatt and had to go home to rest for round 2.

The crowd was a bit chatty at times but after 4-5am it became very pleasant with a lot of people dancing & immersed into the sets. But all in all very respectful crowd, the people at danza were nice as well.

Day 2

Unfortunately skipped vera grace(modular live) coz I had to run errands around town. But luckily the security don't check your bags during day 2 soo I sneaked in some water bottles & smoothies coz I definitely was going to stay till the closing and needed energy throughout day 2

Polygonia played a very refreshing set, blending in different sounds & textures, sounded very groovy & rthymic, the crowds were locked in from minute 1 of her set followed by Paramos who played an immersive x atmospheric set but then oxygeno blew my mind completely, cooked up a storm and it wasn't even peak time yet the more I got into it the more I realized how good the sound quality actually was, proper blitz of a machine. The lighting was on point as well, it was absolutely a visual treat especially in a forest type setting. It was such a surreal experience personally.

Oscar mulero disappointed the most unfortunately, he played a club set in a festival environment. No energy in transitions, slow in rhythm, it was like he was preparing the crowd for an intergalactic war but couldn't start one, regardless he played a very good set, just that I expected slightly more from him. His first 45min were very mental & hypnotic especially the lighting almost like the technician was waving his magic wand and taking us to an ethereal realm of space. The dance floor got a bit packed and chatty during his set. But when Kerrie started her live she jumpstarted the crowd and everyone errupted. Her music was very euphoric and was perfect for sunrise.

The real party started with abstract division playing a very fast hypnotic set and at some point I thought jakojako was playing coz that's how similar it sounded. Insane music & that's when I actually started dancing like a maniac followed by norbak x temudo, loved the way they mixed, I was looking forward to their set the most and they played exactly how I was expecting them to play, lot of energy in transitions, love their unique sounds. The tired ones disappeared and the party people remained, lots of older local crowds from viana showed to dance which was quite nice to see.

Gigi fm & phara's sets were very good as well. Gigi flexing her immense knowledge on getting the crowd to dance & phara's mastery on vinyl was very evident with the way he closed the festival.

The dance floor was full till the last minute of closing. The conditions were pitch perfect where it wasn't too hot, but chilly during late nights and early mornings. Best quality of sets I've heard all year. Danced a tonne especially during day 2 from abstract division till the closing. My heart, soul and tears still remains in viana.

I absolutely will be going to the 2028 edition of danza futura, hopefully I see some of y'all at the grounds.

If tickets get sold out for essaim on RA there are 250 tickets available at the door from 23:00pm onwards(when the club opens)

Since last year November vault sessions at tilatec really changed my perspective on techno, that's when I decided to travel to ams once in 2-3 months to party here.

I usually travel to ams a lot for techno. So far I've had an absolute blast. Amazing clubs, lineups, great crowds so far. Even did upclose recently which was soo much fun.

Now, what do you guys think about the scene in Ams compared to Berlin?

I recently went to berlin, first stop was OpenGround then Berlin (my first time) partied at else and Rso(did the full Weekender) and I've had mixed reviews about partying there for some reason thou I would absolutely go there again to rest other clubs(tresor, about blank//, ohm, oxi).

Thou I absolutely love the diverse parties that are there in Amsterdam, Amazing lineups etc.

Do you guys feel the same? People are definitely more nicer and more welcoming in Amsterdam imo.

What do you guys feel about the crowds? Quality of sound? The vibe? Comparing from Amsterdam to Berlin. Considering the amount of parties/festivals in Amsterdam, do you guys go to Berlin often or maybe once a year?
