I just bought this Pioneer MVH-S230BT car radio yesterday and wired it up and it sounds even worse than the original radio that the car came with.

I don’t know, if it’s because i didn’t connect the antenna to the radio because I don’t have the adapter to it, which I think is unlikely because it’s connected to my phone via bluetooth and realistically I don’t think the car antenna gives the radio any bluetooth signal.
May it also be because the wires are ‘old’? Or is it common on this radio model, or am i completely missing some element that would make it sound better, any ideas?
Just to be clear, I did also change the door speakers to the ground zero iridium’s which seemed to be pretty good speakers, so it has to be just the radio’s issue. I’ve also seen alot of people on the internet say that pioneer is trash, but as i’m not an expert, I’d like some opinions from people with more experience.

Since I just bought a new car radio yesterday and changed the speakers inside the doors my next project is the subwoofer and I’d need some advice.

Considering i’m broke as fuck right now, I was thinking — what if I put a desktop subwoofer (the speakers they sell for computers) inside my car, will it work? I was thinking since those subs have the ports for RCA connector, I could just plug it into my car radio, but the problem is how am I gonna power the sub? So I thought what if i cut the subs 220V power cord and wire it up to my trunks light, is that enough to give it power?
I know the trunk lights wires only put out 12V but if i take out the internal power supply thingy from the subwoofer, i might be able to power it, cause i’ve done this shit before with a bluetooth speakers battery and it turned on😆

I hope atleast one person understands what I was trying to say with my shitty english and maybe give me some advice🤪
