Silent Glory - Nail Point Reach (2004) - Local Chicago band

This is from a local Chicago band called Silent Glory that was active from 2002–2005. I came into the group as their manager in February 2004, right as they were working on demos for their full-length album, Based on a True Story.

The lead songwriter for the band was Dustin Fairbanks, alongside Kyle Lemmerand on guitar, Will Mollohan on bass, Matt Potter on drums, and Darren Fairbanks on guitar.

“Nail Point Reach” was always one of the more interesting songs on the album to me because it was the only track co-written by Dustin and Kyle. I think it ended up being one of the stronger songs overall — really heavy in spots, but still packed with catchy hooks and melodies underneath all the chaos.

Hope y’all enjoy it !

What a fantastic show. It’s so nice that he allows everybody to film one song. I hope one day when I see him I’ll get to film horizons. The entire show was absolutely epic. He is a true artist.

The full song is posted to my Hollowboxinc profile on tik tok

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a project with an artist I’ve collaborated with for a while—Richie Stringini (formerly of the euro pop group US5)—and we’re trying to get things moving again after hitting a bit of a wall on the writing side.

We’re shifting focus toward sourcing material—looking to review and potentially purchase songs from existing catalogs to help build out a strong foundation. The goal is to land around 5–6 strong tracks, then round things out with a few covers and some updated versions of older material so we can put together a solid live set for potential festival dates overseas.

The lane we’re aiming for is modern adult pop—artists like Hozier, Teddy Swims, Adele, Lady Gaga, and Harry Styles. More vocal-driven, emotional, and a little more mature sonically.

I’m curious how people here typically go about finding songs in that space. Are there specific platforms, writer communities, publishers, or song marketplaces you’d recommend checking out?

Appreciate any insight.
