American "Christians" advocating mass surveillance

Apparently many so-called Christians in the US love the idea of mass surveillance because they think it will make them safer.

Those of us who are aware who mass surveillance can and will be used against us know the result won't be a safer society, but just as a toll to for the elites to keep the working class under control.

This particular person advocating mass surveillance also thinks atheist are why SA's get weak sentences and atheists commit all the crimes.

Sadly this kind of thinking is common amongst the Evangelicals in the United States.

Can we be saved from this kind of mindset?

With flock cameras popping up everywhere, it seems like mass surveillance is our new dystopian future.

Finally found a clip of me on a Surfline cam!

Yeah, it's a tiny wave in sub par conditions but I've been out of the water for almost a year due to work and an injury so I was happy to just be in the water.

It can happen when you least expect it, don't let your guard down!

I am posting this as a reminder to never let your guard down.

Last summer I was at Jobos Beach in Puerto Rico when this drowning happened.

It was the first time someone drowned at a beach I was at. As a former ocean Lifeguard, (1999 thru 2012) and a lifelong surfer, I've seen and helped a few people in distress.

Never had I been at a beach where someone drowned while I was there, until last summer.

My girlfriend and daughter were on the beach and saw the guy get pulled out and the (volunteer) lifeguard attempt CPR until the paramedics arrived.

The surf was less than 3' and looked inviting. Jobos beach is known for rip currents and this is posted all over the place, with the summer generally the calmest and safest time of the year.

I was in the water with fins pushing our son into waves when the drowning happened. I never saw anyone in distress, did not see the guy get pulled from the water, but I did hear and see the ambulance from the water.

My attention was on our kid and I had my fins on to make it easier to body surf and swim after him when he caught a wave, the drowning happened less than 100 yards away from me and I missed it. I had let my guard down.

With the relatively small surf and semi glassy conditions, the last thing on my mind was scanning the water while out there.

When we got back to the beach my girlfriend told me what happened and I was shocked. When she told me they were doing CPR, I knew the chance of the guy surviving was slim. The next morning, I found the article that reported the death.

It truly sucks being so close to an incident like this not recognizing the problem and not responding.

Parasail vs Ferry near miss

This happened earlier this week. The parasail boat captain in my opinion is completely at fault for a variety of reasons.

edit to add The parasail is being pulled by a boat, we call them parasailers here, didn't realize so.e were unfamiliar and confused by the term parasail. Unfortunately I can't change the title to " parasail vessel" to avoid any confusion"

What is alarming is a few licensed captains in Key West are trying to argue the ferry is to blame by claiming the parasail vessel is RAM.

The USCG has made it clear that not only parasail vessels are not RAM even when flying a chute, but they are also required to stay out of shilling channels, which the ferry, Key West Express was in. It can also be argued that the ferry is "constrained by her draft in a narrow channel outside of COLREGs", however to my knowledge they were not flying the cylinder day shape to declared such a restriction, they may start to after this incident as it would limit their liability in civil court if an incident like this results in a collision.

I apologize for the FB link, it's all I got right now. If I get a better link to the video I will post it

Surfline Premium vs Premium+

My Surfline membership retired and am going to renew it mostly for the cameras. I like the service because I don't get to surf nearly as much as I need to so having access to the cameras is a great way to know where to go.

For those who paid the extra $30 for Premium+, what exactly do you get extra?

Theory: SpaceX going public is a money grab before ET life and their technology is revealed making SpaceX rockets worthless

A lot of sources say that Trump will make an announcement that extraterrestrial life is visiting our planet Earth and we have recovered some of their craft and technology.

This technology will make our primitive way of using rockets to get to space and our celestial neighbors( Moon, Mars, ect) obsolete.

I find the timing of this announcement and Elon Musk taking SpaceX public a bit suspicious and perhaps a big money grab before the ET/NHI technology is revealed to the public making SpaceX the equivalent of a horse carriage company after automobiles took over.

Obviously this is pure speculation but given the nature of this subreddit, I want to know what others are thinking..
