What is going on with the Texas THCa ban and our injunction?

Last Friday, the state filed a response in the THBC lawsuit, disparaging the injunction and that the hemp industry didn’t have a case. As a result, we’re filing our own response, but the most important thing is that the injunction is still standing and no product changes need to be made yet in this lawsuit.

🚨MAJOR UPDATE: The judge in the injunction case has granted the injunction, but only to members of Texas Hemp Business Council and HIFA, not statewide. At the same time, our Supreme Court case, which kept the state from banning all cannabinoids in 2021, has been struck down. Our legal team is combing through all of the information right now, and we will keep you updated as we learn more!!!!

What’s happening with the hemp ban in Ohio and how does it impact our battle in Texas? A similar lawsuit was filed recently in Ohio over their hemp ban, but rather than granting a TRO for the entire industry, the judge only granted it for the plaintiff in the lawsuit. Major update in our lawsuit against the state! The TRO (temporary restraining order) preventing the hemp ban, has been EXTENDED through May 1st. The hearing for the temporary injunction, has been rescheduled to next week on the 28th-30th! We’ll keep you updated as we know more!
