My roommate and I (22F) just moved to Abilene and were looking for bars or restaurants that host events Thursday nights. Hoping this will be a good way to meet some people and make new friends. Any suggestions??

All I do is work and play games. Been kinda down and want to get out more and hang out with friends that would understand me more. My best friend moved to Philadelphia awhile back and I just can't find anyone that shares interests.

I am a voter without party. I grew leaning Republican but have always voted cross ticket. I tend to vote for the person based on stated position. It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for Paxton but the popularity of the DSA in the Democratic party is very disconcerting and I wanted to get his take on their presence and where he stands with them. I’ll keep it private as much as I can but I just desperately need to escape my family before they cause me to get into a suicidal episode. They’re toxic and I just can’t take it anymore.
