Obviously Mark Nolan and Atom Eve are no brainers, and Cecil is an inspired choice im glad hes there but also, 8 of the 18 characters here do the exact same thing. And obviously gameplay wise the devs can make them play as differently as they want, but in terms of just ability diversity, visual differences and feel of play, I dont get why we needed 4 viltrumites. It's also kinda weird since there's a ton of interesting looking superheroes on earth but Thula's jawless ass gets a slot on this roster, how many lines of dialogue has she even had? And why is Bulletproof even here dawg 😭, like if you needed another flying brick from the guardians of the globe Immortal is right there. I dont know this roster just seems wayyyy off from what I thought an Invincible fighting game would look like.

Edit: oh yeah and are the OG guardians excluded just cuz they're dead? Because red rush had more character than thula and a speedster on the roster would've been cool.

Edit:Edit: Multiple people saying "oh just like dragon ball z " is INSANE to me. The stark contrast between dragon ball z where every character has a completely different visual makeup and color pallette, and while yes they technically all have ki, they use it to do wildly different things unique to each character, a fight between Broly and Vegeta will look wildy different than one between Trunks and Goku, even though they're all saiyans. Compare that to the image above where 4 characters have the exact same outfit on and besides the jawless wonder, have 0 extra abilities to differentiate themselves visually. Wild comparison to me, its like saying "Narutos the same because everybody's a ninja" but you would never say Sasuke and Gara have the same moves etc. And yes I know they all PLAY differently, thats not what this post is about.

Twice in a row. Twice in a row we watched Homelander being incapacitated by forces apparently completely unknown to The Boys. Apparently the government just had a room that can severely weaken and hurt homelander, that if combined with something else Deadly could probably kill him. And then apparently a random supe we've never heard of until now can completely knock him out with just a breath.

Like apparently we dont need Ryan or Marie or Vickie. The Boys could've just gotten Malchemical on board who ALREADY wanted to kill Homelander, shoved him in a uranium filled room, and blew him up or sucked all the air out of the room or just got starlight and kimiko in protective suits to beat him to death.

I dont know maybe none of that would work for some contrived reason, but it just seems like there's suddenly a lot of ways to stop homelander, even if they aren't insta kills.

These games end up becoming so outdated and fans are made to wait damn near a decade for a sequel because the release is still making money so the studio has no incentive to release their next game. Ive played all these examples extensively and GTA online is one of the most egregious examples. One of the most outdated games still getting updates (if you can call them that) barely held together by gum and duct tape. But Rockstar didnt need to start making GTA 6 or really anything else for that matter for a while because they were making insane amount off this game.
