Question for you guys

Hey guys I recently bought a truck and it has a capacitor and amp the owner forgot about under the seat he wants it back and wants me to safely disconnect it and ship it back (he lives far as I traveled far to get the truck) and its a amp and capacitor how can I drain the power off the capacitor to safely remove it along with the amp I was planning on

Removing inline fuse on battery

Remove negative battery terminal

Use a 12 volt automotive test light on the terminal to drain it completely

Disconnecting the equipment and taping off old wires and zip tying

Did I get that right ?

Does jt matter which terminal the alligator clip or prong goes on for the tester ?

I dont know much about this just trying to safely remove it thanks

Hello im new here I was wondering if a gmt800 Yukon xl / suburban is a good buy as a beater work vehicle i work for the postal service and drive alot 500-600 miles weekly combined + commute and I have a financed vehicle i dont want to wear and tear as much i see alot of cheaper suburban and yukons 01-06 and wonder if they would be a good candidate i live in the rust belt so some rust is expected but I heard these vehicles are nearly indestructible any advice would be helpful thank you.
