Just got to my unit and I already feel like I’m invisible, honestly man at least haze me or something.

No one’s really introduced themselves, I barely know leadership’s names, and I’ve had almost zero actual interaction with them. At “PT”, we just do roll call and everyone goes home. If I try to talk to others and I just get cold shoulders or awkward silence. When I ask my sergeant something, it’s either a quick “ok” with no follow-up or I’m told something will happen… and then it just doesn’t.

I had to drive from one side of the coast to the other just to get my POV on a weekend, since I've spent three times my car payment just on Uber and rentals in order to get around.

In addition, a random specialist told me I’m going on rotation. My sergeants don’t even know if I am, they ask me like I know. I just got here Sarnt. I’ve gotten zero orders, no brief, nothing to pack, meanwhile everyone else is packing and already leaving. I’m just sitting here in limbo. I’ve worked civilian jobs before this, so the lack of communication here is throwing me off hard.

Is this just how it is when you’re new, or is there something I should be doing?
