Don’t laugh at my little shorts

Yeah I wear track shorts while delivering. I went to state track, ran CC. Etc…. It’s gets over 100 degrees in the cargo. We’re running around doing 350+ a day, getting in and out hundreds of times a day. Leg day all day everyday. I also bike, swim, run, lift weights, play dance dance revolution etc… it gets hot af hauling 180+ of body weight / muscle. Full sun, 80+ degrees. We sweat (badly) before we even leave the dam warehouse. But yet. You can stay in your AC and watch me deliver boxes of kitty litter, furniture, treadmills, etc..

How’s your cardio from the couch?

You’d wear them too if you needed full range of motion.

Breaks, lunches? What are those? Yeah we don’t have that luxury. Being chased by your dogs, “he’s friendly”.

My 11.5 hour day.

About 240 packages. 175 stops. DML4. About 35 minutes to first stop. All but one delivered. The one was a business that closed at 4, recipient required, and I got there at 5:30. Stop number 128 or something. Good ol AI routing for businesses AFTER hours. Drank and ate during travel between stops.

I’d like to point out something… why doesn’t country stops order a bunch of stuff all at once for like a month supply? I totally understand their need for delivery since everything is so far away, but… 6 min travel for a random envelope? Or… actually… housecleaning gloves which did happen.

And random dogs outside.. like I seen 6-8? Outside. 1-2 were not “friendly”, no bites, but I was pretty concerned. Owner wasn’t home. I didn’t see the dog at first. The rest were supervised and all they wanted was attention. But… na… I love dogs but farm dogs could have ticks or other. The route was non stop. I’ll happily take 350 tight residential over 10 minute travel times between stops
