Ecm vs ece

In my opinion, it really depends on whether you live close to 62 (or get hostel), or not, see, either way you will be an electronics student right, and as an electronics student, projects should be ONE of your priorities (not your only priority bruh, please also focus on course work). Compared to cs majors doing projects is relatively harder for electronics students coz our projects are hardware based, which is only accessible by clubs. For electronics the clubs at 62 are better, in 128 you only have cicr, which is the robotics club, 62 clubs also get more funding, so does that mean you should take ece core, no, it depends, if you are unsure about your choices, whether you want to pursue hardware, or software projects, id suggest you go for ecm at 128. Now, wont this mean you have to skip out on projects? absolutely not, Im doing ecm from 128, ive done many projects, gone to a few competitions and im even in the college's ERC team, i took part in the workshops organized at 62 related to drones, vlsi, and even made a few of my own. So i would say, if you live close to 62, or get the hostel, then you can go either way, depending on your interests, if you are unsure and live far away, so that going to 62 once every week becomes a hassle, well choose 62, but if you dont mind the travel, from 128 to 62 and then to home, go for 128. Now you should also consider the campuses, what vibes with you better, but if youre sure about hardware, and know that you dont have interest in software side, like web dev, app dev or stuff like that, then take ece core at 62. as for placements, im just coming to my second year, id suggest you talk to our seniors regarding that lol, theyll brief you better.
