Tournament.

Headed to an out-of-town tournament, where the entire tournament has its own GameChanger event. As the GameChanger dude for one of the teams, do I need to score anything at all as long as there is an official tournament score?

Do I go in and score the game anyway?

Do I set up a parallel game and score that one, then compare and delete afterward?

I’m still kind of wrapping my head around the options for the tournament feature.

10U pitch count?

Just joined this community. Im a baseball guy, i played it growing up and over the past 6 years ive coached rec/travel/all-star teams and umpired youth baseball.

My daughter just started in the world of 10U travel softball. So far, i hate it (not really…..). Parents are more obnoxious, coaches are more cut throat, and the singing/chanting is driving me insane.

All that said, coming from baseball we kept a close eye on innings and pitch count. Obviously its a different motion with far less strain on the body.

My question, is there a recommended pitch count for a day or do you just keep running out the same girl until her arm falls off? Yesterday, i think our 60 pound, 10 year old pitcher threw 185 pitches between two games. They finally subbed her out in the 2nd game when she looked completely exhausted.

Westside?

I haven’t been over on the west side in a while, what’s the gross ugly development on the hillside? Looks like a mini version of Butte pit mine at the moment.

Unhinged Dems

Reilly Neill and a couple of her people Jami Woodman and Jesse James Mullan have absolutely gone off the rails over on twitter. They are so butthurt about Reilly losing, they are now trying to burn the whole thing down.

This isnt anything new for Reilly as she has a loooong history of saying crazy sh1t on twitter. She blocked me years ago for calling her out.

As a 5th generation Montana dem who is continually frustrated and disappointed by the party, im so happy to see Reilly lose her primary.

Tournament scoring

Last night i scored our teams game in the tournament setting. I went back and checked our team’s box score in the normal team link and it was all jacked up because it says it was scored by some random mom on the visiting team?

The stats and box looks good in the tourney link, but not in our team like.

how do i prevent/fix that?

Tournament National Anthem

HS tournament. All games are on the same field with PA Announcer and Music. What is the decorum for playing the national anthem? Before every game? Before just the first game of the day?

Right call?

High school game. Runner on 1B, 1 out.

Batter pops the ball up just behind 1B. R1 immediately retreats back to the bag. In doing so, he collides with the first baseman who is backing up (back pedaling) to catch the ball. Because of this, the ball ends up dropping. R1 makes it to 2B, batter thrown out at first.

Time called, umpires confer with each other. They determine runner interference and rule a double play to end the inning.

I think everyone pretty much agreed that interference was the right call. But there was definitely some disagreement on the double play determination. Parents/fans/coaches lobbying that interference creates a dead ball. Runner should be out, batter should get first base.
