Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice before I call an irrigation technician. I’m not very handy, so I’m trying to understand the likely issue and avoid being sold a full replacement unnecessarily.

My sprinkler system is controlled by an older K-Rain Model 2114 mechanical timer. The timer appears to have power and the electrical panel breaker labeled “Sprinkler Pump” is on. I also flipped that breaker fully off and back on.

When I turn the timer manually to ON, nothing happens. I do not hear a click, hum, pump sound, or valve activation.

Outside, I found what looks like an irrigation valve/pump setup with an indexing valve. I was advised not to open the round indexing valve. There is also a smaller black valve/control assembly connected to gray conduit.

Any advice on what to check, what not to touch, and what would be a red flag from a technician would be appreciated. I’m in Florida.
