Suggestions, I have ZERO art training and would love advice. Do you start with the darker colors, what type of tool or object can be used for the thin lines for the veining.

WIP advice

I am on the fence about the purple. My husband said it looks funny. This is my attempt at art. I used a water color of a maple leaf for my inspiration. I won’t be upset with your comments or ideas. I also don’t have an issue with taking out the purple and replacing it.

I am not sure about grout color. Maybe a light brown or green?

Thanks for your help.

Lamp shade and form pics

Hi I just posted about a lamp situation and said I would put up some photos. This lamp was made by me in the late 80’s. It probably needs to be dusted and the form is really dirty but it doesn’t matter for this purpose.

As you can see the lamp consists of 6 of the pie shaped panels. There are cardboard strips on the side to help stable the glass pieces. But you won’t need these since you are doing a whole lamp. You used to be able to see the pattern under the scotch tape, so I pulled some back so you can see the pattern underneath. The tape kept the pattern protected from the flux and solder.

Let me know if there are any questions about all this. I love my lamp. I have a few more. Some have been gifted over the years.

Experience with a floor cleaner

Hi, I am curious if there are some experiences with a floor sweep and mop machine. I have a large vinyl kitchen floor that is so hard to clean. My physical body is a bit handicapped, so sweeping and mopping are very hard for me to do do. I have been looking into maybe buying a Bessel type machine to make this task somewhat doable. Are there any suggestions or i9n how to help with this issue? Thanks

Hobby came mess

Finally getting a minute to post about the hobby came issues. Yesterday I decided to stretch the came, mainly because it adds to the length, and I was only having the dimpling issue on the ends. Well as you can see the dimpling was on the entire length. So I am using it without stretching. I really like this came because it’s 5/64. It’s a great size and the 2 times I ordered hobby came they were different sizes and too big. I thought that hobby came would be standard.
