Well, that was awkward

I’ve been on a health journey for about a week and half. Going to PF multiple times, no problems and honestly, super comfortable environment. I’m 28m and 300 lbs. I never thought I would actually be going to a gym by myself.

I’ve gone to 4 different locations in my 6 visits so far. But this one location I’ve visited twice now has kids between 18-23 ish that just hang out in the locker. Whatever, doesn’t bother me.

Long story short. I’m in the changing room in the middle. Handicap is occupied by someone. But as I’m half naked these kids started playing around in the 3rd stall. They got on the bench and made direct eye contact with me. Haven’t been seen shirtless since I was probably 14-15. Then just said oh s-word and left 🙃. Dude….. come on man. Took me 28 years to grow a pair and something like this happens.

No.. I’m not snitching. They are just kids. I just wished there was more locker room etiquette.

Your local homeless dude looking for a spot to view fireworks this weekend!

Not trying to be weird but I just don’t want to be around people and vise versa. Where could I get a good view of fireworks July 4th? This is one I don’t want to miss, obviously!

The laundry question

It’s been asked before and I did some reading and I still didn’t answer my questions

Context. I’ve started to work out every day since I’m a fatass and it’s the first time I’ve done this in over 15 years. This pushes me to shower everyday twice(once before workout and after). Ontop the fact I’m going to be working in construction.

Q. 1: how do I bring two pairs of clothes to the gym (gym clothes and clean clothes). Then take a shower and I store my nasty clothes with the clean clothes? Do I really need to bring two bags or is that too weird?

Q. 2: I would like to wash clothes every 3-4 days to be as cost efficient as possible. But quite frankly, I don’t want dirty clothes/smelly socks stinking up my truck. I could put in my bed but brings up questions of creating mildew. What is everyone’s procedure for keeping dirty clothes with them for a couple days?

Q. 3: this isn’t a question. I just wanted to say I love you. 😘

Anti-social things to do?

I’m so boreeeedddd. What’s activities to do in ND or Fargo that isn’t forcing me to be social? I’m interested in getting a license and fly fishing but it doesn’t seem to be too popular around ND.

Should I be vlogging?

should I make a YouTube channel and start making weekly videos of living in a truck trying to find a job, progression, etc. Is it too cliche and over saturated?

120k mileage service

2021 2.7 eco. Just wondering if everyone does their 120k service or not? If so, would the cost being around 2k be justified?

Only ever done Oil changes/tires/batterys. Got lucky so far. No weird noises or differences of driving since I’ve owned.

Am I screwed? Can’t get hired for plumbing roles.

I’ve been living out of my vehicle for a couple weeks now. My experience lies in Plumbing. I’ve been looking around and LITERALLY traveling to different urban areas with multiple helper roles (I have 6 years experience) and I won’t even get a Call or Email.

My problem might be I’m a little too honest about my vehicle situation but it’s a reliable truck and I shower on a daily basis. I just figured I would be open and honest up front. I don’t think it’s going to work out too well being honest but most plumbing companies I find are smaller companies. thoughts?

Currently in Des Moines and about to start heading further north. Should I start over and go into another job as an entry level position? What is everyone’s thoughts when I have a construction background? I would LOVE to do heavy equipment operations but all the indeed post I find are requiring experience/CDLs.

Brushing teeth and shaving

What’s everyone routine with brushing teeth and shaving? I find it slightly troubling to find areas since I mostly sleep in hotel parking lots and it’s not the best place to do it.

Preparation for cold living

I’m currently in Nebraska and might relocate further north, depending if I can find a job. I’m thinking in advance to prepare.

I’m curious what methods people use to deal with extreme temperatures below 10 degrees, or have any ideas? Sleeping bags are out of question since I don’t have enough space. (Photo for reference of my truck, not a lot of space so I just sleep in drivers seat).

I’ve slept in single digits before with no problems by just wearing heavy enough clothes. The only issue was I would cover my mouth with clothing and I never really liked doing that.
