Help with involuntary flight change please.
Please can someone help me with a situation I find myself in with BA.
I have a flight booked into heathrow that lands at 7:30, I then need to catch a flight from Heathrow to Edinburgh, which departed at 9:20 when I booked, but as of this morning the departure time was changed to 8:20.
I obviously will ne be able to make it through passport controll, customs, baggage collection/check before my flight from LHR to EDI.
My issue is that BA is saying that due to the time change being less than 120 minutes that they can't help me at all.
So far the customer rep has advised that I do the following.
- call them at least 1 hour before my flight from LHR to EDI on the day of my flight.
- this is not possible as my flight will literally still be airborn.
- pay an aditional £90 on an already £200 flight to reschedule my flight.
Obviously these are both less than ideal solutions for a simple flight change.
Is there anything that can be done or am I SooL?
