Hobson's Choice is hardly ever described as a romance movie, but honestly it features one of the sweetest and most wholesome love stories I've ever seen! It has an opposites attract vibe with an arranged marriage, class difference, and a tyrannical father thrown into the mix :) I really recommend it if you want to watch a really satisfying story that's a bit different from the usual romcom fare.

I know fiction never reflects society entirely, but it's interesting to speculate about how much Austen wanted to mould it into her more 'ideal' image
