From 1812-1815 the War of 1812 was much worse. The British lost it near it entire border with the us pushing it furthur north. The Treaty of Philadelphia gave up the new territory of South Ontario (North is american) all of the great lakes. The French fearful of the us sold Louisana to the US in 1815 for 75% of IRL cost. The Territory of South Ontario was created and Admitted as a state. Meanwhile in 1821 the Spanish also fearful of the us sold Florida to the us.The us in this timeline is very patriotic and warful with more Warhawks
I have listened to your feedback
The Short lived Louisiana Republic fell back to the French. Meanwhile The us and Uk are a bit disappointed " Why we couldn't claim these nations " Well I will tell you. Louisiana because empire building was in his DNA, but because what we call the "Louisiana Purchase" wasn't a colony in the sense of the word.Other than New Orleans, there wasn't a traditional colonial city or administrative, governed area. Instead, it was a series of forts, villages, and trade relationships with the estimated 250k natives whom the French had very good relationships with.More likely, instead of the 60k French and 250k natives getting their "independence", if the Louisiana Purchase went south, Napoleon would have taken steps to strengthen that territory, not give it away. The real alternative history would start there. The US would not have been able to do much as their military was tiny, tired, threadbare, and incapable of projecting power. A Napoleon shifting resources, building more forts, strengthen the relationship with the indigenous tribes would mean America would be facing hundreds of thousands of fighters, the ancestors of the very tribes that made western expansion difficult for the next 100 years. Crossing into Upper and Lower Louisiana would mean war with France and exposing themselves to Britain, who were already harassing the US from bases in Canada and along the coast line. This would have brought the War of 1812 ten years early. Which would have also given Spain an opportunity from the south. That's your alternate history, not the "independence", but what does a North America look like with France having the middle of the continent, the Spanish the west, and the US the east. The US army was not ready to fight off however their rivals the UK was also considering taking Louisiana...

In 1803 The Louisiana Purchase failed so it was given independence by France in 1804. The new republic economy is decent however it have sour relations with it Neighbor the US. In this series we will focus how the US Recovers from the failed Louisiana Purchase.
