AITA? My roommate's ex was my friend before they got together (not super close but we got on), and he is friends with a good friend of mine I've had for longer.

My roommate has real tension with this ex - well she got a new boyfriend not long before they broke up after months of "drama" (it was never quite clear to me who was the problem in this relship). Is it ok for me to hang out with this ex, since i like him as a friend (and have recently felt this friendship consolidate a bit more). It feels like I'm betraying her but it'd also feel sad not to be friends with him anymore for "loyalty" purposes...

Hi! I'm currently filling out the online portal and am not sure which subject area applies more to a film studies related research grant application (doctoral research grant - short-term visit to Germany from outside Germany).

- art, music, sport science

- language and cultural studies

The first one includes "film and television" as a subcategory (which would be accurate for me, but I'm not too sure if this implies a more practice-oriented proposal, which mine is not), whereas the second has various area studies subcategories, which mine somewhat fits into (in that it bridges film with cultural history / transnational research and politics).

any recommendations welcome...:)
