Exposing The Great Indian "Festival" Scam: Amazon literally made the Galaxy Tab S10+ ₹5,000 more expensive during the sale.
I’ve been tracking the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ for the last few months, and the mental gymnastics Amazon and the seller are pulling for the Great Indian Festival sale is a masterclass in anti-consumer pricing.
Phase 1: Pre-Sale Baseline
Listed Price: ₹79,999 (stable street price for months)
Bank Offer: Flat ₹5,000 instant discount on SBI Card
Actual Effective Price: ₹74,999
Phase 2: The Festival "Magic"
Right before the sale went live, they spiked the price to ₹1,05,999 (pure MRP anchoring). (I forgot to take a screenshot).
Sale starts: They flash a massive "22% OFF" festival badge and drop it back to the exact same ₹79,999 baseline.
First, they killed the SBI ₹5,000 offer completely.
Now, the plot twist: They replaced it with an ICICI Credit Card offer of ₹3,999.
So after all the hype, artificial MRP inflation, and banner ads about "unbeatable festive deals," you end up paying ₹1,001 MORE during the biggest sale of the year, and that’s only if you happen to own an ICICI credit card. If you don't, you pay a full ₹5,000 premium.
Anyone who didn't track the price graph just sees “Save ₹26,000 (22% off)” and rushes to checkout thinking they hit the jackpot.
