MacBook Air M4 at 85% battery health after 1 year and 234 cycles am I cooked?
I bought my MacBook Air M4 on May 15, 2025, and just checked the battery health today. It’s already down to 85% with only 234 cycles, and the condition still says “Normal.” My warranty expired literally 2 days ago. I use it for coding, college work, gaming, and some AI/ML stuff, so the machine does get pushed pretty hard at times. Still, 85% after just one year feels kinda rough. Curious if other M4 Air owners are seeing similar numbers at the 1-year mark. And has anyone had luck contacting Apple for a goodwill replacement after warranty expiry in a case like this? Worth a shot or a waste of time?
