He’s just not that attracted to me
Me (f52) and my boyfriend (m52) have been together for 10 months. We have dated 30 years ago but then over the years would see each other from time to time. We have pretty much been living together for the past 5 months. Me at his house all the time. My son was actually supposed to start renting my place out and I was going to move some furniture over as all my clothes etc had been there.
We get along perfectly! Except he has a wondering eye. He likes to flirt with other woman online and still talks to his ex.
I do everything for him, the housework, the meals, take care of his children, and I even do all his paperwork for his business and help with the business labour.
A couple of weeks ago it was his birthday, I opened a package from Amazon that turned out to be a gift from one of the woman he flirts with. I found her online and messaged her. He told me he would stop.
Last night I looked through his phone and I found that he’s been helping his ex fix her truck and giving her rides and that woman from his birthday she sends him topless pictures!
I confronted him and he said he would never leave for them.
After pushing for a bit he told me that he isn’t that attracted to me but that everything else is perfect!
I asked him what I was supposed to do with that information. After some time he said if you want to go just go. So I packed all my stuff and had him drop me off at my house. One of his first questions was about the passwords for the accounts.
I feel devastated. He’s not a big communicator and I’ve worried that he felt cornered but really his explanation fits with the fact that he hadn’t been able to “do it” at night or kiss me. He would do it in the morning from behind. He was very cuddly and loving but the sex seems to reflect an issue.
How am I supposed to move on from this?
I always made him feel like he was the most attractive man on the planet even though let’s face it, he’s not the same man as 30 years ago, he’s out on weight, he has a “black tooth” and he’s balding.
I had never been happier as I have been these past 10 months! Need realistic advice!!
