I need help.
Got this as a daily since my job requires me to use my car and get milage reimbursement. Found it on FB marketplace for $4000 with 130k miles. After new rotors coilovers rims and tires tints. I think I've spend more than I paid for the car. Thing is when I don't have work i walk pass my brand new Volvo ex90 and go straight to the mini. What is happening to me
Got a notification that an update is ready to install while at work. MY25 NYC.
Of course I'm gonna walk to the car and start the process. Of course I'm worried about having to call a tow truck for my bricked car after I'm ready to leave work lol.
Fixed it myself.
So I took my car into a Volvo dealer in queens/ greatneck NY because the car wouldn't identify that anything is plugged into the charge port. Because I live on this forum I've already read others saying that volvo corporate is telling the dealers to disconnect all the batteries because it's a glitch that they don't even know what's causing it. Anyways I explained all of this to the dealer but off course I am a customer who knows nothing so they didn't listen. Called me saying that no charger works ( we already knew that ) and that's they gonna need time to open a ticket with Volvo to figure out a solution. I again explained the solution. I even said if you update it with the new 3.0 software that's available it would reset all the modules and fix the issue. They told me the 2.0 software I'm on is the most update software available. Well that's all I needed to hear to go pick up my car and put my skills to the test. Pulls the car apart. Disconnected the 2 batteries pulled the fireman loop left it for 20 mins. Came back plugged it all back in and we are charging again.
Sorry for the long rant. But if anyone else is having this issue and you have some technical skills just do it. Save yourself the trouble of waiting weeks for them to do something.
Ps got to admire Teslas software. They give you the option to reboot your software and so forth.
