Lead/follow ratio by cities

Hey guys

I recently tried out Bachata dance communities, but noticed that they are heavily lead heavy. Which sucks, because I don't want to practice and dance alone.

Is it similar for salsa as well?

Where are you located?

Im from Czechia, Prague.

Gender ratio

I went to 2 different Bachata lessons, and the ration was 2 men to 1 women.

Don't get me wrong, but I think it should be around 50-50 to be enjoyable, right?

Is it similar in your city/lessons you attend?

What could explain this?

Background, I'm 24 from Central Europe, tall (6'4), athletic, nice shape, good-looking.

When I'm in a latin speaking country (Spain, Italy), I get so many compliments, girls making eye contacts, talking to me. I can just talk to them if I feel like, or they give me green light. They like me, and like talking to me.

But in my home country, they never do, don't look at me, don't smile at me, think it's an insult that I even try to talk to them.

Latam is probably more like Spain.

Is this only in my head? The difference is so massive it doesn't seem real
