I could use some help on how to proceed.

Hey I could use your insight on how to not have this happen anymore. I go to this gym that is predominantly male based ( I live in a not city like area so options are limited). I say hi to people politely if they wave, but I always have headphones on and never get ivolved in conversations. I'm there to workout not to make friends and I think I've made that clear by not talking to others.

Today, not one, but two white older dudes approach me out of nowhere when I'm minding my own business to talk political shit (on two seperate occasions, not at the same time). I won't go into too much detail about what they said, but it's awful, vile shit. Like I wanted to punch them in the face about it. I said, "I'm here to work out not talking politics" but I also had a statement of "well, that's not true" which I said to a very verifiable fact and..... clearly that was a mistake. It made them even angrier. I should have said nothing, but I couldn't stand to hear what this dude was saying while other women and people with more melaniated skin then mine are all working out trying to do their thing in peace.

What the fuck do I do? I was literally in a plain t shit minding my business. Nothing about my appearance said I would like to talk politics. I have to see them regularly, and I want to better protect myself and others from their harassment.

Thank you in advance. English isn't my first language, so I am sorry if it's confusing. This happened in the US.

Hey good people of Volumeeating. I need your help. I've stopped smoking Feb 7th, and have even stopped smoking weed as well to help but to no avail. I am gaining weight back (I'm a short woman, with PCOS 🫠) I strength train and run 5x a week and otherwise am working an office job currently. Before quitting I was actively losing weight. I could use your help in sourcing snacks to keep me occupied. I know about popcorn, and sunflowers in shell -- but I also need sweet. I eat two large apples a day, grapes, lots of protien and fiber in my meals but the snacking I can't control. Like at all. Please help and drop your best recs.
