Little moments

My son is turning three and it’s around the time most his (first-born) friends at nursery are getting baby siblings.

Here’s what me and him can enjoy together without having a baby around (bearing in mind there is no dad in the picture):

- Cuddling up on the sofa the two of us at end of the day
- Taking him to the playground at short notice
- Jumping in the shower to wash us both (two birds one stone and all that!)
- Me-time when he is distracted with his toys/TV/napping

Worst Ex Ever - are we hardened to true crime?

I watch a lot of true crime and feel relatively desensitised to most things (except children - that’s a whole other ball park).

But some information really sticks with me, especially when there is detail around how the victim behaved in their last moments. Shawndel in episode 3 being driven to her grave and buried alive??! And then Wade running over his second victim when she tried to escape after he drove her the woods??!

This is just another level of horrifying. The terror these women faced is so unimaginable. Most true crime is like water off a duck’s back with me but these type of details really haunt me.
