If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, The Thrift Market is happening this Sunday, 17th May at Times Square Center (indoors 👌).

Lots of stalls with pre-loved items, and prices usually start from around 5 AED — you can find some really good quality pieces for cheap.

It’s a nice spot to browse, thrift, and just see what you come across. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into bargains or sustainable shopping.

Unemployed for a while, how do you structure your day and stay productive?

I’ve been unemployed for a while now and it’s been mentally tough. I’ve been applying daily and treating it like a job, but I’m not getting much luck and job posts seem to be slowing down.

I wanted to ask:

  • How many hours a day should I realistically spend applying?
  • How do you avoid burnout?
  • What can I do with the rest of my time to stay productive?

I also want to upskill without spending much, any free or worthwhile ways to build skills that actually help with getting hired?

I just don’t want to waste this time and would like to come out of it with something valuable.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I work in private aviation as a charter broker (client management, quoting, sourcing aircraft, negotiating, handling urgent VIP requests).

Due to the current situation in the UAE, it’s been difficult to find roles in aviation, so I’m also looking to transition into other industries. I don’t want to start from entry-level as overall I have 4 years of experience, but I know I’ll need to adapt to a new sector.

What roles or industries would best match my transferable skills?
