AITA for telling another gamer the she is pretty?

Hi Reddit. I (25F) joined an all-girls Minecraft server last week and was having a great time. I got to know everyone, went on adventures, and spent most of my time helping others instead of building my own base. I started a new game, built a house for new players, taught people how to use new mods, and was always helping wherever I could.

When I joined, there was already drama. Two players, M and L, had been secretly using a duplication glitch to get materials. M used those materials to beat a major boss before anyone else, locking the rest of the server out of first-kill rewards. When people got suspicious, M admitted to L that he was actually a guy in an all-girls server. L reported him to the server owners, C and B, who kicked him and found the duplicated items. Later, M admitted L had helped him. Even with evidence, L denied everything until she was eventually kicked. The admins talked to both of them multiple times before taking action.

Now to me.

One day I was talking with C and my friend F about how fun it would be if everyone who stayed on the server eventually met in person. Later that night I was playing with M (different person) and O. I mentioned I’d looked through the Discord verification photos to see what everyone looked like since we’d joked about meeting someday. I asked O if her profile picture was really her. She said yes. I told her she was pretty and had a great picture, then joked that I’d probably be “intimidated” meeting everyone because they were all so pretty.

That was the entire conversation.

We kept playing together that night, talked about possibly meeting later in the year, and even played together again the next day.

Two days later I was suddenly kicked from the server with no warning or explanation. B had blocked me, and C ignored my messages. My friend E reached out to ask what happened. C and B told her to mind her own business. M later explained that my compliment had made her “uncomfortable,” and O had encouraged her to report it.

E said M told the story exactly as I did and agreed everything had been blown way out of proportion. When E told C they should’ve at least talked to me first, C said if she didn’t like it, she could leave too. C also claimed she couldn’t message me because I’d blocked her, but I didn’t block her until HOURS after I’d already been kicked and ignored.

What bothers me is that people who cheated, lied, and broke server rules were given conversations and chances to explain themselves. I complimented someone’s profile picture, got kicked two days later, and no one ever spoke to me first.

AITA?

Looking for some girly gamers.

I’m 25f and I play a little bit of everything from fortnight to stardew valley. I have Game pass and I always down to try a new game. I usually pick it up pretty fast. Message me and I’ll send you my gt so we can get to know each other 😊 Tired of playing with strangers that don’t talk and run in the opposite direction when we’re dropped in.
