Johnny's obsession with pork when he and Moira have lunch with Dee Dee?

In S1 E11, this is the script that plays out:

Johnny: Well, I hear the pork is very good here. The ribs, the chops, the roast- Deedee: Nothing for me, thanks. Johnny: Well, isn't that funny. Because Moira doesn't eat here either. But I will be eating and I just don't know whether to have the ribs or the chops, but I'm definitely ordering pork. Moira: If you mention pork one more time.

Does Johnny talk about pork in order to appease Dee Dee and suggest that he is not a Jew? Does Dee Dee have a thing against Jews?

I am so confused.

Subtle observation - Ted was the only one who remembered Alexis' middle name

Remember the whole episode where Moira was signing Alexis' community service papers and didn't know her middle name. And the rest of the family didn't either. And that whole episode we never find out what it actually is. But when Ted proposes much later, he declares "Alexis Claire Rose, will you marry me?" He was the only one who remembers. I mean if that doesn't show how much he loves her...

I have rewatched Schitt's Creek for probably the tenth time, and looking for other show recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for funny shows/movies to watch that match the kind of comedy of Schitt's Creek?

Which UQ residential college is best for me?

I am 18 (boy) from Sydney, and I am looking for a residential college that has a good party culture and general good vibes. I want the college to be somewhat sporty (I play competitive tennis) as well.

I have looked into St Johns, however I am getting mixed messages about whether its more for sporty kids or music/drama kids. I am not the latter, so I don't know if this would be the best fit. But keen to hear some thoughts

Cohort culture of BAFE?

Hi, I am thinking of starting BAFE next year and I wanted to get a sense of the cohort culture from anyone that has experienced it first-hand. Thanks!

(BAFE) I am considering transferring from Commerce/Law at USYD to BAFE at UQ.

Hi everyone,

I am in my first year of BCom/LLB at USYD and I am considering moving interstate. My ultimate goal is Investment Banking ("high finance") and I instinctually selected Commerce/Law because I heard that it was Australia's tried and tested pathway into Investment Banking. I graduated with a 99.75 ATAR and I also wanted to "maximise" the benefits of my ATAR. I live locally, but I feel the need to leave home for personal reasons. Also, I am not really enjoying the Law part of my degree, so I do not know if I can stick it out for 5 years. I have done a bit of research and I am now considering the BAFE degree at UQ - and I would probably stay at a residential college. At least with the BAFE degree, it is specifically designed for finance. But am I jeopardising myself if I were to drop Commerce/Law? I really need advice here.

Thanks

I grew out of being OCD

I do not know how this is going to be taken, but here is my story.

From a really young age, I had relatively extreme OCD. I used to clean my room obsessively, everything had to be arranged in a certain order in my room, I constantly and obsessively checked that light switches and stove tops were off. I used to feel sick when anyone entered my room, because I would then be concerned that the carpet would get dirty. As I grew, it started to affect my thoughts. I used to fixate on unwanted thoughts about sexual relations with the people close to me. And I used to constantly be physically hot, stressing over all these things. I am truly surprised my parents never raised concerns to the point of me seeing a psychologist.

And then I slowly started to grow out of it - and I have absolutely no idea how. Now, I am 18 and I never have obsessive thoughts or the need for things to be organised whatsoever. Sure, I like to have a clean, organised environment, but I don’t care anymore. So it truly makes me think that OCD can be overcome.

[finance internship interview] HOW TO ANSWER "what are you curious about?"

How would you answer "What are you curious about?"

It has really stumped me - I am not sure whether they are looking for an answer that is finance-related or more personal/behavioural or more hobbies-based...??

Are digital interviews usually marked by AI?

Hi,

I have a digital interview with PwC where they ask a few questions, and you have some time to think about your response, then record yourself.

I was wondering whether these recordings are actually reviewed by recruiters, or if they are marked using AI?

Thanks

buss1040 final exam

can someone please explain to me why the buss1040 exam was unlike anything i have ever seen before in this unit?

the questions were so poorly worded, and there were so many mistakes in the questions (can't even get the years 2024/2025 right).

And some of the multis were so confusing and hard.

Not to mention its 60% of our grade for the unit.

ALSO, what the hell was that last macro short answer on taxes????

I feel as though it is so unfair because there are so many "trick" questions that are out to get you, and the fact that the questions are worded incorrectly (with bad grammar) makes you have to think so hard about what the question is asking you.

Please tell me its not just me

I got asked: "If you could be any cooking appliance, what would you be and why?" How is this an appropriate interview question, and how do I even begin answering it?

Genuinely what are they hoping to find out about you by asking this question.

These behavioural questions are getting out of hand in my opinion.
Anyways how would you guys answer this?

How do I answer: What makes you, you?

I recently has an interview for a finance internship where the first question I got was: what makes you, you?

I was thrown off by this question and hesitated.

For future improvement, what do you think is the best way of answering this question?

I applied for maths and econ.

Just wondering if the fact that I haven’t got any updates means I am still in the running of getting an offer? Has anyone actually got rejected yet?

I am currently doing my first-year in Bachelor of Commerce and Law at USyd, and I am thinking about transferring to UMelb next year. If so, I would love to join a residential college like Trinity College. Is this possible?
