Another Toxic Guy Gets Mad

Hi, it's me again, here with another post of someone getting mad over this roblox boxing game. As always, I'm not posting this for attention but because moments like this make me want to rant and I have nowhere else to put it.

I was playing Surgeon against this Joe user when, after the first KO, he typed copycat (idk why he sayd that but okay) and then sayd that they buffed surgeon (or as he typed it, "sudfeoz."

After that, it was 2-2 and I descided to use my ult to get him into the last stock. Was it a mistake? Probably, because he had low health, but I found it better to do it then risk losing 2-3 since he was doging a lot with his low health. As you can see, he mocked me for doing that, which I ignored.

I then focused my pinpoint on his cheat to get his block low so that I could then win with an easy ult blockbreak after getting him in an M1 string, which is what I did and then won. I typed "gg" as I always do when the guy started complaining, which is why I explained why I won with that block break (atleast, from what I know, Surgeon's chest mode effects the blocks weakness to ults too. I may be wrong tho.) Since it was a last stock Joe, which already has a trash block, and chest mode was orange, one levle to max, the ult broke his block and I won.

I thought this was simple and even complimented hia doging, calling our fight fun (which it was, got my heart pumping a bit). He clearly did not agree with this and sayd that it's ppl like me that make this game unfun, aka passive players (mind you, I had to be the one to close in and start most of our interactions or else he would just stay at the center of the ring all day.)

Now, did I get a bit mad at the end? Yes, but I have my reason. And that reason is that it just annoyes me when someone can't understand something so simple (Joe has bad block on the last stock and my mode made his block worse, so I won) and when they insted just cling to their excuses.

I didn't take a screenshot when he asked (more so begged, trying to goad me into it) for a rematch. Why? Simple. It would be a waste of time. I know that win or lose, this guy would keep talking and I would just get mad and have this part of my day ruined, which I didn't want. So I did what I always do when I need to vent out this frustration so that I don't explode:

I took screenshots and put them here, in this Reddit post, so that I could rant and vent without wasting energy on someone who wanted me to be mad.

How do you feel about the Surgeon style?

Now that the style has been out for a few days and everyone has probably got to test it, what do you think?

What I'm going to do is rank the style from 1 to 10 in two aspects (Skill, Fun) and I would like you to do the same!

So, let's begin.

Skill: 7/10. I wouldn't say that the style is unskilled but I can't say that it's in the top three in the most skilled styles. It has a lot going on at a first glance, yes, but it's simple once you understand it and is hard but not impossible to use properly. The hardest aspects, atleast for me, is picking the first target to pin-point, depending on what style the opponent is using and how, and mannaging the debuffs when they aren't maxed yet.

Fun: 9/10. This might be just me but I love styles with a lot going on and mannaging things in video games in general, so having these three debuffs with diferent levles and diferent attacks to maintain them is very fun. The only thing that keeps it away from a 10/10 for me is how slow it can feel compared the more speedy styles I like to use.

Another randome kid got mad at me :3

For context, I was using Surgeon in this fight and he was also using Surgeon, so it was skill vs skill since we were using the same style.

The first message ("spam") was sent after he went down a second time do to me using ult (2-1), and I thought it was a fun fight (ended 3-1).

Apperantly, this kid (427 KO's btw, I don't blame him for losing since I have over 4000 KO's) thought I was spamming M2. Which, honestly, I was. But I had two reasons.

One: For the debuffs on Surgeon to be active, it needw to be true dammage. So, as any player does, I used a lot of M2 and M2 feints to get true dammage and the debuffs.

Two: I noticed that this guy was often dashing forward and throwing a punch at the same time, so I counterd with liver M2's to zap his stamina and get some of those liver debuffs.

Now, my issue wasn't with him saying I was spamming M2, I was and, as you can see, I admited to it and sayd that Surgeon needed it. My issue is when he called me a kiddo and skilless. This was before I checked his KO's btw, we're the same rank so I thought we were the same skill.

I offerd to switch styles since Surgeon isn't my main, Supernova is, and I thought it would be fun to rematch him with no M2's to see what excuse he makes. But that didn't happen since he, clearly lying after fuming, typed "idc" and refused to rematch. I tried to ragebait him but he just called be annoying and ignored me, so I went to fight other guys.

When I came back and mannaged to get into a match with him, what did he do?

Did he A: Fight and beat me.

B: Fight and lose to me, perceding to be toxic.

Or C: Leave the server.

Yup, C. I juat wanted to share this since I find it funny when people insult you and then refuse to back up their insults with actuall skill.

What style do you think this could be for?

Since it's just an ult we don't have a lot to go with, but I'd still like to hear some ideas. Since I don't know if it's a Shiny or a Style, I'll give my opinion on both.

Shiny: If this Ult if for a Shiny style, then I think it would be a Shotgun Shiny. As we can see, the ult showes multiple punches being thrown from the same side and at high speed, which is exactly what Shotgun does.

Style: This is what I, personally, hope it is but 100% doubt it is. See the high speed of the jabs, the dark coloring and that dark eye in the end? These things remind me of a character from a diferent form of boxing media that I like. Yu from a manhwa called The Boxer (highly recomend reading it btw). Do I believe this could be it? Not really, but I like to think it could be if this is the ult of an actuall Style.

What do you think it could be?

Edit: It was confirmed that this is not a shiny style, so it will be a new style. Probably droping next month from what I could see in the discord

Edit 2: Guys... the goat is comming to UBG september 12th...

The Diference between DC's

So, I think everyone has played atleast one game where someone left and tou wonderd why. So, I'm here to try and explain the diferent types of DC's, taking in what I've seen and done.

DC Against a Strong Opponent: This type of disconect is very simple. You end up facing an opponent who is so much better then you that the game isn't fun. What does this mean? It doesn't mean that there's a slight skill gap, but a skill gap so big where you can't do anything but be a punching bag for three rounds. This is the reason I DC most often and a reason I think is the most understandable.

Rage DC: This is the most common DC. You're fighting a guy, the match is close - 2-2 - and you mannage to PD into an ult to win... but they suddenly leave before the ult can finish. This is a Rage DC, where a player leaves do to anger over losing. This type of DC is often followed up by toxic comments.

Lag DC: This one is the simplest and most understandable. You play a match but realize you're lagging a lot, so you leave. Simple, understandable and not toxic.

Annoyance DC: This one is a bit diferent then the Rage DC but also more toxic. It's when a player leaves not do to losing but do to you using a playstyle or style they don't like, like (purley for example, no hate to either of these) using Bullet or playing passivly.

These are the DC types I have seen and have done myself. If you know any other type of DC, feel free to type it out in the comments.

What makes a style "Skill" or "No Skill"?

This is a continuation of a past post of mine wjere I asked for the most skilled styles. (No need to go see it, just some context.)

Now, I've seen many diferent opinions on skilled and no skilled styles and that is what gave me this question. In my opinion, a style is skilled when they require a higher understanding of the games mechanics and the styles' unique mechanics in order to use effectivly. For example, you need a better understanding to use Freedom do to it's mechanics then to use a style like Smash or Basic.

But from what I can tell, this isn't a definition everyone agrees on. So, this is my way of learning and of giving players a way to discuss this. What, in your opinion, makes a style skilled or no skilled?

What is the most Skilled Style?

This is something that I'm curious about since I've seen many people say many diferent things on this topic.

Now, let's make one thing clear. A Skilled Style, in my opinion, isn't a weak style that you need to do a lot to get a little from. A Skilled Style is a style that you can't just pick up and instantly be good at, but one you need to have a good understanding of the games mechanics (punching, doging, feinting and blocking) in order to do good with.

So, for example, a style like Basic wouldn't be considerd a Skilled Style. While you do need to put some more effort to win compared to other styles, Basic is one that anyone can pick up and understand what they need to do and how.

In my opinion, two of the most skilled styles are Chronos and Freedom, two styles that, while powerful in the right hands, not anyone can just be good at the moment they get it. But I'm curious about the opinions of everyone else on this topic.

(Try to keep the discussions civil. I know it's hard with this topic but try 🙏)

Just found it funny how some ppl complain about things like ult and then to quiet when you beat them without it

I was just fighting when I saw this guy in chat and descided to fight him. I beat him 3-0 with ult in the end and he didn't seem to consider that fair, so I descided to rematch him with no ult and beat him 3-0 again, saying gg again but he didn't respond this time.

I just find it funny when people complain about something (like ult in this case) but then complain even more (or, in this case, ignore you) when you beat them without it. The only reason I fought this guy was because I saw him in chat doing the same to another guy and that he was gold, the same rank I'm in, and so I thought it would be a good fight.

Apperantly, after checking, he only had 68 KO's, which is why I didn't say "EZ" since I've been playing for longer then him.

I don't get why people don't understand when someone doesn't want to fight

Before you get angry, no, I'm not talking in the "Oh noooo, I wanna be friendly and you fighting is toxic :(" wau, no.

I'm a compleat noob to any and all fighting games and have a collective of 22 kills in the two games I play (JJS and Legends Battleground). So, when I join a server, I check for people with similer kill counts to me so I can actuallly fight and learn.

I have had to explain this on several servers in both games because some high kill players don't seem to understand that no, sorry, I don't want to fight the guy with 3000 kills and who knows every combo in the game when I can barely hit two black flashes in a row as Yuji ;-;

Marcus Rosario's hair

So, I'm currently reading the Mashiba vs Marcus Rosario fight and I just have to say that Rosario's hair annoyes me so much. It looks so good when it's all extended but I hate how it looks when it's twirrled up and styled.

Idk if it's just me, but I just don't like it and needed to vent real quick.

Question from someone who is almoste caught up with the manga.

I am so serious right now... does Mashiba ever, EVER, stop cockblocking Ippo? So many times, Ippo and Kumi were THIS close to kissing, and then this slender-man-looking motherfucker appears and just makes them both jump in fear. It is so funny and so annoying at the same time.
