The LAST DAY at Sonic Temple has Tool closing but Electric Callboy starts 15 minutes before. Closer-day chaos.

Sunday's the closer and my legs are already gone. Three days in,
four stages, and I still have to pick between Tool and Electric
Callboy. Pour one out.

Three real conflict zones plus one closer mess. Full plan:

EASY MORNING (the gift before the chaos)
12:35 PM Demon Hunter Cathedral Alt Metal ← picked
2:20 PM Avatar Temple Alt Metal ← picked
4:25 PM Anberlin Sanctuary Alt Rock ← picked
(no overlaps, finally — first clean stretch all weekend)

CONFLICT 1: the 5:00-5:35 triple
5:00 PM Senses Fail Citadel Emo (skipping)
5:25 PM Lamb Of God Temple Metal ← picked
5:35 PM Bloodywood Sanctuary Metal (skipping)

Lamb of God is 50 min. Senses Fail is 30. Bloodywood I keep
hearing is the unmissable set of the weekend. LoG live with Randy
is a non-negotiable for me so it's the easy call, but the
Bloodywood skip is going to haunt me.

CONFLICT 2: 6:55 to 7:10, the warm-up scramble
6:55 PM Thrice Sanctuary Alt Rock ← picked (first 15)
7:10 PM Godsmack Temple Alt Metal ← picked

Thrice is 35 min so I can catch the front, then walk over for
Godsmack at 7:10. Brutal walk but doable.

CONFLICT 3: the 7:35 doubleheader
7:35 PM We Came As Romans Citadel Electronicore (skipping)
7:35 PM Apocalyptica Altar Alt Metal ← picked

WCAR I love but cellos doing Metallica with Megadeth coming up at
8:15 is the right vibe pivot.

THE ONLY BREATHING ROOM
8:15 PM Megadeth Cathedral Alt Metal ← picked (full 50)

CONFLICT 4: the closer (and the reason I'm posting)
9:05 PM Electric Callboy Citadel Electronic (skipping?)
9:20 PM Tool Temple Alt Metal ← picked
10:00 PM Dance Gavin Dance Sanctuary Post Hardcore (skipping)

Tool is 90 min, that's the closer. But Electric Callboy is the
most fun band on the festival and they start 15 min before Tool.
Do I catch the first 15 of Callboy and sprint, or commit to Tool
front-to-back? DGD overlapping Tool's last 40 is the cruelest
schedule of the weekend.

Things I'd actually take feedback on:

1. Bloodywood vs Lamb of God at 5:25. For anyone who's seen
Bloodywood — is it actually the unmissable festival set people
keep telling me it is? Open to being talked off LoG.
2. Apocalyptica or We Came As Romans at 7:35? Picked Apocalyptica
because the Megadeth setup feels too clean to break, but make
the WCAR case if you've got one.
3. Electric Callboy first 15 then sprint to Tool, OR Tool full
set no compromises? My friend is voting Callboy + Tool, I'm
   leaning Tool-only and not moving.

Post your Sunday plan if you've got one. Curious how other people
are slicing the closer.

Saturday at Sonic Temple has Sepultura, Bring Me The Horizon, AND The Story So Far all starting within 10 minutes. How do you even pick.

Saturday's the one I can't figure out. Day 1 was emo, Day 2 was
nu-metal, those at least knew what they were. Saturday is pop-punk
and metalcore and death metal and Manson and a BMTH headliner all
on the same day. Pick a lane, festival.

Four conflict zones. Here's the plan:

12:40 PM All That Remains Cathedral Melodic Metalcore ← picked
(nobody else on at this time, easy start)

CONFLICT 1: the 2:25 triple
2:25 PM The Plot In You Temple Alt Rock ← picked
2:25 PM Snot Altar Hardcore Punk (skipping)
2:30 PM Citizen Citadel Alt Rock (skipping)

3:05 PM Make Them Suffer Sanctuary Alt Metal ← picked
5:20 PM Motionless in White Temple Alt Metal ← picked
6:15 PM Bush Cathedral Alt Rock ← picked

CONFLICT 2: 7:10 to 7:45, the emo battle
7:10 PM Good Charlotte Temple Punk Rock ← picked (full hour)
7:45 PM Mayday Parade Citadel Alt Rock (skipping)

CONFLICT 3: 8:15 / 8:35
8:15 PM Marilyn Manson Cathedral Alt Rock (skipping)
8:35 PM Architects Sanctuary Alt Metal ← picked

CONFLICT 4: the 9:15 to 9:25 closer triple
9:15 PM Sepultura Altar Death Metal (skipping, barely)
9:20 PM Bring Me Horizon Temple Alt Rock ← picked (full set)
9:25 PM The Story So Far Citadel Pop Punk (skipping)

Been redoing that closer all week. Sepultura runs 35 min and ends
at 9:50. BMTH is 90 min. The Story So Far is 45. Half-tempted to
grab the front of Sepultura and run back for the rest of BMTH, but
that walk is too long mid-set and I'd lose the start of "Drown."

A few things I'd actually take feedback on:

1. 2:25: Plot In You, Snot, or Citizen? Picked Plot In You because
I know them best. Open to being talked off it.
2. Good Charlotte the full hour, or split for Mayday Parade at 7:45?
Sticking with GC but my 2000s emo self isn't going to forgive me
   for missing Mayday.
3. Anyone planning to dip on BMTH for some Sepultura? Tell me if
   it's worth the chaos.

If you've got a Saturday plan, drop it. Want to see how other people
are slicing this one up.

May 15 at Sonic Temple is the nu-metal nostalgia day and I have FOUR conflict zones to survive. Here's my plan.

Day 2 of Sonic Temple is the day I've been planning hardest for. Friday's

lineup is a stealth nu-metal / 2000s alt-rock reunion stacked against

some of the heaviest deathcore on the festival, and I spent the morning

laying it all out time-by-time. Sharing my plan in case anyone else is

trying to thread the same needle.

Heads up — May 15 has at least four conflict zones where I had to give

something up:

OPENING (the easy stretch — for now)

12:10 PM SOIL Altar Alt Metal

12:35 PM Lit Cathedral Alt Rock

2:20 PM Daughtry Temple Alt Rock ← picked over Powerman

2:25 PM Powerman 5000 Altar Alt Metal (skipping)

THE 4:35–5:25 BLOCK (conflict zone #1)

4:35 PM Yellowcard Cathedral Pop Rock

5:05 PM Chelsea Grin Sanctuary Deathcore (skipping — see below)

5:25 PM Static-X Altar Alt Metal ← currently picked

5:25 PM Halestorm Temple Alt Rock (skipping)

The 5:25 slot is the cruelest decision of the day. Chelsea Grin into

Static-X into Halestorm, three completely different rooms all overlapping.

I'm going Static-X for "Push It" because I've never seen them and the

Wayne Static legacy set deserves the room. Halestorm fans, convince me

otherwise.

THE 6:15–7:30 BLOCK (conflict zone #2 — the worst one)

6:15 PM Chevelle Cathedral Alt Metal ← picked

6:55 PM Atreyu Citadel Metalcore (skipping)

7:10 PM Staind Temple Alt Rock ← picked (catching back half)

7:30 PM Sevendust Altar Alt Metal (skipping)

Four bands. Two stages I want to be at. I'm doing the Chevelle full set,

then sprinting to Staind for "It's Been Awhile" and the back half.

Atreyu and Sevendust both hurt to skip.

THE BREATHING ROOM (only one on the whole day)

8:25 PM Story of the Year Citadel Melodic Hardcore

CLOSER WAR (conflict zone #3 and #4)

9:15 PM Lorna Shore Sanctuary Deathcore (skipping — barely)

9:20 PM Shinedown Temple Alt Metal ← picked

10:05 PM Simple Plan Citadel Alt Rock ← closing here

This is the closer that broke me. Lorna Shore is a once-in-a-festival

set. Shinedown is the safe headliner. Simple Plan finishing my night

with "Welcome to My Life" is unhinged but feels right. I cannot believe

this is the schedule.

A few real questions for anyone here:

  1. The 5:25 slot — Static-X, Halestorm, or Chelsea Grin? I'm second-

    guessing already.

  2. Atreyu vs Sevendust at 6:55/7:30 — if I had to pick a B-set to catch

    instead of Staind, which one?

  3. Anyone closing with Lorna Shore over Shinedown/Simple Plan? Trying to

    understand the case.

Drop your May 15 plan in the comments. Genuinely want to compare notes

with whoever else is trying to do this many stages in one day.

Day 1 of Sonic Temple 2026 has 4 conflict windows and I have to give up a band at every one. Help me decide who gets axed

Sonic Temple Day 1 is already stressing me out.

I finally tried to lock in my schedule and somehow ended up with 14 bands, 5 stages, and a bunch of conflicts where there’s no “good” choice. So I’m putting this here because I need other people to either validate my picks or bully me into changing them.

Small disclosure: I help build The Band Index. We made a lineup planner because my own festival group chat was getting impossible to follow. I used it for this schedule. You don’t need to sign up to view it, and you can fork it for your own crew if it’s useful.

Here’s where I’m at for Day 1:

12:00 PM — The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Starting the day with “Face Down” feels correct.

2:55 PM — Flyleaf
Currently picking this over Bodysnatcher.

3:30 PM — Bodysnatcher
Skipping for now, but I already feel like someone is going to tell me this is a mistake.

4:30 PM — The Used

5:15 PM — All Time Low

6:05 PM — Rise Against
Currently picking this over Magnolia Park.

6:40 PM — Magnolia Park
Skipping, unless someone makes a strong case.

7:00 PM — Pierce The Veil
This is the one I’m struggling with most.

7:00 PM — Dying Fetus
Skipping right now.

7:25 PM — Whitechapel
Also skipping right now.

That 7 PM block is brutal. Pierce The Veil, Dying Fetus, and Whitechapel all basically fighting for the same window is evil.

8:10 PM — Breaking Benjamin
Planning to stay for the full set.

8:15 PM — Dayseeker
Skipping, even though I know this one might hurt later.

9:10 PM — Slaughter to Prevail
Skipping for now.

9:20 PM — My Chemical Romance
Ending the night here unless someone genuinely convinces me otherwise.

Main questions:

Who wins the 7 PM slot: Pierce The Veil, Dying Fetus, or Whitechapel?

Would you close with MCR or Slaughter to Prevail?

Who am I sleeping on earlier in the day? I barely have anything on the Altar Stage and that feels suspicious.

Drop your Day 1 plan too. I want to see how everyone else is handling this mess.

Day 1 of Sonic Temple 2026 has 4 conflict windows and I have to give up a band at every one. Help me decide who gets axed.

Sonic Temple Day 1 is locked in and I've spent three nights staring at this schedule trying to make it work. 14 bands, 5 stages, and four overlap zones where I literally have to give one band up to catch another. Coming here to let the community decide what I do next.

Quick disclosure before the schedule: I help build The Band Index, and a month ago we shipped a group lineup tool because my festival group chat was chaos. The schedule below was built with it. Public link, no signup needed to view, fork it for your own crew if you want.

Here's my Day 1 plan — every conflict is flagged with the band I'm currently planning to skip:

Afternoon — pacing myself for the night

  • 12:00 PM — The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Temple) — opening with "Face Down," no notes
  • 2:55 PM — Flyleaf (Cathedral) ← currently picked
  • 3:30 PM — Bodysnatcher (Citadel) — giving this one up. Wrong?
  • 4:30 PM — The Used (Cathedral)
  • 5:15 PM — All Time Low (Temple)

Conflict #1 — 6 PM block

  • 6:05 PM — Rise Against (Cathedral) ← currently picked
  • 6:40 PM — Magnolia Park (Sanctuary) — skipping. Tell me I'm wrong.

Conflict #2 — the 7 PM slot from hell

  • 7:00 PM — Pierce The Veil (Temple) ← currently picked
  • 7:00 PM — Dying Fetus (Altar) — skipping
  • 7:25 PM — Whitechapel (Citadel) — skipping All three overlap. There is no version of this I leave happy.

Conflict #3 — pre-headliner slot

  • 8:10 PM — Breaking Benjamin (Cathedral) ← currently picked for the full hour
  • 8:15 PM — Dayseeker (Sanctuary) — skipping

Conflict #4 — the closer war

  • 9:10 PM — Slaughter to Prevail (Citadel) — skipping
  • 9:20 PM — My Chemical Romance (Temple) ← closing the night here

Full schedule with stages, set lengths, and every overlap warning is here (no signup to view, fork it for your own group): https://thebandindex.com/festival/sonic-temple-2026?tab=lineup

What I actually need from you:

  1. The 7 PM slot — Pierce The Veil, Dying Fetus, or Whitechapel? Convince me. I will change my mind for the right argument.
  2. MCR or Slaughter to Prevail for the closer? Both fanbases are going to yell at me, I accept this.
  3. Is there anyone on Day 1 I'm sleeping on? I have nothing on the Altar Stage besides Dying Fetus and I feel like I'm missing something.

Drop your own Day 1 plan in the comments. I want to see who else is trying to thread this needle.

Started making my Welcome to Rockville schedule and immediately remembered that festival planning is basically choosing which band to betray.

My rough plan so far:
https://thebandindex.com/festival/welcome-come-to-rockville-2026/lineup/e6cdaf53-df66-411d-94dd-d16634e473cd

The worst conflicts for me right now are:

Thu: Godsmack / Story of the Year
Fri: The Warning / Drowning Pool + The Offspring / Sevendust
Sat: Avatar / Badflower
Sun: Coal Chamber / Rise Against + Sepultura / My Chemical Romance

I made this planner to catch overlaps and share picks with friends, but now I’m second-guessing half of it.

What are your hardest conflicts so far?
