Is it safe to do Vaishno Devi yatra as a solo??

I am going to Katra on 19 May 2026 and planning to do the Vaishno Devi Yatra.

Since I’m traveling solo and this will be my first yatra, I wanted to ask a few things from people who have already done it.

Is it safe to do the yatra alone?

What is the best time to start the trek?

How can I reach Banganga from my hotel in Katra?

Is the ropeway worth taking?

And approximately how long does it take to complete the yatra?

Would really appreciate any tips or suggestions for a first-time solo traveler.

Is it possible to complete Vaishno Devi in 2 days?

I am going to Katra on May 26, 2026. Hoping to complete it in a day or two. Since it’s my first time visiting Vaishno Devi, I wanted to ask if 2 days are enough for darshan and the trek.

Also, is it better to do the trek at night or during the day? Any tips for solo travel, budget stay, crowd, or things to avoid would really help.

I keep hearing that introverts are better listeners than extroverts… and I agree. But now I think not all introverts are better listeners some are good with talking.

I have been thinking about this. As an introvert, I feel like I listen more and think before I speak. I like deep, meaningful talks more than small talk. But sometimes, I find it hard to speak quickly or keep a normal conversation going.

Extroverts, on the other hand, seem really good at talking, starting conversations, and keeping them going.

So I’m confused... does listening more make introverts better at communication,

or does talking easily make extroverts better? Or maybe it just depends on the situation?

What do you think?

I am traveling solo to Dharamshala, Mcleodganj, and Dharamkot.

I don’t have a great phone camera, but I still want to capture some good memories from the trip. Most of the places there look beautiful, and I don’t want my photos to turn out dull or low quality.

Any tips on how to take better pictures with a basic/bad phone camera?

I am traveling to Himachal Pradesh on 19 May, particularly Dharmshala. But you know, Dharmshala is one of the crowded palaces in HP. It will be a great help if anyone suggests the best and untouched places to travel in HP in May. I have seven days and a budget of 2000 per day. It's my first solo trip. So the kind of place I am looking at should be safe, easy to travel and peaceful.

It’s my first time traveling solo, and I’m planning a trip in May. I was really interested in visiting Chopta and doing the Tungnath trek, but a friend told me it might be crowded. I also heard that Haridwar gets very hot during this time.

Another option I’m considering is Dharamshala, but I’m not sure what all I can do there as a solo traveler.

Looking for suggestions, especially places that are beginner-friendly, not too crowded, and peaceful.”
