how to fix??
i had this bump/keloid looking thing underneath my tongue for about 2 years now(same amount of time i had this piercing) it started growing after a couple months after getting my tongue piercing for the first time. i used piercing discs for a while and it went down and used non alcoholic salt water mouthwash to get it down(that’s helped too), but when i had removed the piercing discs thinking it would be okay it would GROW back again after a month or so. Yes i brush my teeth everyday and use sea salt mouthwash to help it but it would always grow back );
im a little insecure about it but it doesn’t bother me at all physically until now where i would thicken my tongue a bit and i would feel it pressing against the ball(a weird feeling btw)
is it time to buy piercing discs again to flatten it? do i have to replace the acrylic balls with titanium balls???is it the acrylic? is it my toothpaste😭???idk but its never gotten this big before and i don’t want to remove it,my tongue piercings means so much to me

had since 2024
downsized from 18mm to 16mm 2-3 weeks after piercing
jewelry is a internally threaded 12g 16mm barbell (stretched from 14g to 12g)
balls are internally threaded 6mm clear acrylic balls
after care would be brushing teeth and using H20 salt water mouthwash
