Picked up a base model 2006 Mac Pro along with a maxed out trash can (a story for another day) and have a question. It didn't come with any drives or sleds, but was wondering if I were to run just Linux on it, that I could theoretically throw any GPU in there? Was thinking of doing the install process with the 7300 GT so I can select what media to boot from, but wondering if after the install, if throwing in say a GTX 1050 would work, could care less if it doesn't display til it gets to the desktop, just wanting to know if it would have to be Mac flashed at all to even display.

Looking to visit my (23M) long distance partner of 2 years for the first time and would love some feedback! Would ideally hope to make the trip down around early October of this year, and am not 100% sure of the process other than screening/biometrics.

Would I be able to apply for a 6XX visa now for a short period in October? I'll only be down there for a week, just wanting to make sure if the process would allow to book for that time frame and if it will be granted before then. I am still quite new to this so bear with me. Thanks!
