Theft

Attended my child’s field trip today and as we were walking on Christopher Dr in Galt, a car pulls up to the curb, a woman gets out of the vehicle and literally with zero shame, rips this other parents necklace right off of her neck! The thief jumps back in the passenger’s seat and the car speeds off. In front of a group of children. Classy. Is this what Cambridge had become? How do we explain this to our children? The audacity of some people. Just gobsmacked.

Greenbrier Road apt - recycling always dumped into garbage truck?

The Greenbrier apartments are a pretty clean / friendly place to live, but I've been noticing for the last year or two that when the trash / recycling is collected they just dump both into the same truck? I have a perfect view from my apt over top, there's no divider or anything, and the bins are always very well sorted so there's very little contamination risk. There's a literal garbage chute for garbage and recycling you have to haul downstairs by foot.

Any idea why Greenbrier would be so bad at recycling? Such a waste of time considering most people are retired and spend time carefully putting recycling aside just to have it dumped into the garbage...

Preston Springs for Sale - OLT Approved, 3 Towers, 635 Units, DC Reductions

Anyone got 13M sitting around?

FFS all this argument about how we need density, and that the density not require any parking in favour of transit not expected for decades. Here we go again.

Developer gets everything they ask for INCLUDING approximatetly 19.5M in reduced Development Charges... IMMEDIATELY lists the property for sale. Not, hey industry lets partner and get this built, no, a straight disposition with the DC reductions advertised as a selling point.

That's an extra +/- 13M that will now be entered into the land aquisition line in the new owner's pro-forma, requiring them to come back later for more units.

Can't wait.

Cambridge was Spared again

No Tornado or Severe thunderstorm warning at all just a severe thunderstorm watch. Tracked south of Cambridge heard London was hard hit and Hamilton, St Catherine's and Niagara Falls had a red level severe thunderstorm warning never knew that was possible.

Equipment removal service.

Hi, I’m on the lookout for a company that can take away my old water softener in Cambridge. I recently had a plumber install a new one, but he’s been out of touch for the last month and hasn’t answered my calls/messages. I’m not familiar with any removal services in the area. The old equipment is quite heavy and difficult for me to manage on my own.

Any advice or a rough idea of the cost would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you

Disgusting community in cambridge

Was driving home today and near zehrs there was a orange tabby cat that someone hit and left to die infront of a round about. It literally had its eye pop out but was on its last few breaths and we got out to move it off the road. So many disgusting people driving by and acting like this isnt something important or an emergency. A dying animal taking its last few breaths yet people had the audacity to yell and say move. Honestly didn’t know so many disgusting and heartless people lived in this city. Some man drove up to us after yelling about calling humane society when he didn’t even ask if we did first. It was 6pm and closed all we could do is move the kitty off the road so people don’t run over the poor things deceased body and leave a message to humane society. same man had the audacity to not get out and do anything or call himself. Disgusting city with disgusting people honestly. Cannot stop thinking about the poor kittys last movements as we got out, really hoping it was no one’s pet, we did not see a collar or anything of the kitty. Shouldve added this in before aswell but part of why i said disgusting is because as we drove up and saw the cat the 2/3 cars infront of us passed by and most likely also ran over the cat more as they werent even trying to avoid it and if we did not stop to move it wouldve kept happening and the kitty already suffered enough. That is very disturbing to know multiple people probably saw the cat after it was acc hit and had a chance to shorten the suffering by helping it but chose not to. Every life is genuinely equal and its disgusting that people wouldnt help something that was or is clearly in need.
