I am an insurance student who's been applying to roles over the summer break. I've had the pleasure of being invited to a couple pre-interviews with various professionals & admittedly feel a little stumped at what questions you ask during this phase.

I continue to get "great question, but I don't work in the department I am hiring for and it would be better suited for the second stage when you meet with their supervisor/manager"

I am coming from the trades and am surprised by this being a step in the process - so I am honestly wondering what questions are appropriate to be asking? What questions may help me stand out?

I am in SW Ontario Canada, in the tri cities (KWC).

I am looking to start my own dog daycare and day training business - I've worked in one for the past few years and previously at one for 4 years. I compete in dog sports and am my bosses go to for behaviour modification training due to my work with exotic animals.

I am looking to offer day training first, and be mobile until I can secure a facility/am busy enough to justify the overhead that comes with a facility.

Wondering who best to approach for insurance for this?

TBI 2 years ago, my family is more focused on money and the lawsuit than to help me with my brain and it's newfound shortcomings.

How do you get your family to help or understand your brains short comings? I am stuck living here as we are in a HCOL area, I can't work enough to pay rent and don't qualify for OSAP/govt disability funds.

My family bought me a new vehicle, but didn't remind me to get the wheels retorqued and I've almost just had a whole wheel come off when driving as a result.

Or they constantly leave canned food on the stairs for me to break my neck over.

Or I constantly have my reality denied, told it's not that bad but how they want me in assisted housing - which i don't qualify for as I am mostly functional.

I struggle with routine changes, time orientation, and mood stability.

My father, who I live with, wants me in some sort of government housing for people with brain injuries.

He claims to lack the capacity to help me (I am capable/able to care for myself. The issue is I forget where I put things, and he hoards so it's not a good combination anyways and it's become very toxic to the point I don't feel safe from myself physically as the fighting exasperates the head injury and I want to not exist anymore).

I am two years out from settlement for the MVA that did this, and I do have an occupational therapist from that as well. I'm on a 2 year wait list for an ABI clinic.

Wondering if anyone has some options or resources to show him?

I feel like at one time there was, but I cannot seem to find it. Just for local events and chatter.

Wondering if anyone has the tea on when the continuing education platform will be working again for course registration? I continue to encounter Forbidden 403 messages trying to view the courses and register for classes.

A young man in a silver Audi sedan threatening to beat up a young female driver of a silver Hyundai Sedan - followed her for a few blocks and he tried to get out to fight her twice.

Cops were called - any witnesses encouraged to call in as well. Hopefully with a plate or dash cam.

I hope this isn't a witch hunt, just looking for witnesses to support the authorities.

I think my neighbor is being tipped off by bylaw as whenever I call to file a report about them for noise or drunkenly parking their vehicles blocking my driveway or street suddenly they pack in the party or come out to straighten their car.

Bylaw also gave them my name, and now they're going to my other neighbors encouraging them to make false reports about me.

Wondering how I can prove or disprove this, and what the next steps could be?
