23kg lost since September

39M UK – Mounjaro progress: 107.9kg to 84.9kg

Just wanted to share my experience so far.

I started Mounjaro at 107.9kg and I’m now down to 84.9kg, so roughly 23kg lost. That’s about 51lbs, or around 3 stone 9lbs.

I’m currently on 10mg. I’ve had side effects along the way, mainly nausea, diarrhoea and sulphur burps, but nothing I’d call serious.

I’ve set my calorie budget at around 1,700 a day. Realistically, I probably hit that about 60% of the time, and the other 40% I’m closer to 2,000. I’m still eating three proper meals a day and I start every morning with a protein/fibre smoothie.

I’ve lost a similar amount of weight before, about 10 years ago, and got down to around 84kg then as well. For me, I can gain and lose weight pretty easily, but I think I naturally have quite a low BMR, so calorie counting really matters. Without that accountability, it’s very easy for me to overeat and slowly creep back up.

Honestly, I’m thrilled with the weight loss and the difference it’s made. No regrets at all.

I know it isn’t for everyone, but if you’re on the fence, I’d genuinely say it’s worth considering. I thought it was expensive at first, but I’m probably saving more than that each month by not bingeing on food and snacks.

I have a set of Renpho smart scales and weigh myself every morning after a morning whizz. The smart scales then push that data into my LoseIt! Calorie counter which I have found to be the best app for the job.

Any other questions just ask

Just got an email to say the 5mg dose will now be delivered via a new Kwikpen 2.0

Wondering if anyone has any details about the new pen?

I'm wondering if this is being released to stop people making use of the secret fifth dose in the Kwikpen?
