Choosing a super fund

Hi all, I am moving to Australia from the UK in July and start working in a catholic school in Melbourne. I've got to choose a super fund or it will be the default for the school which is catholic super. I have googled and seen the others that are available but not sure how to decide.

Any guidance or things to be wary of?

Thanks in advance 🙂

I'm currently in the process of having my property managed by a letting agent on a guaranteed rent contract. I'm moving abroad and felt this was the most hassle free option for me. I understand and am happy with most of the contract I've been sent by the agent except for the part below about the property being vacant for 14 days.

This guarantee does not apply if the property is empty due to repairs the Landlord failed to complete. Also, if the property sits vacant for more than 14 consecutive days, the Tenant has the right to cancel the agreement immediately, stopping all future rent payments.

For people who have experience of guaranteed rent is that reasonable? To me it feels they are not guaranteeing much if they can just terminate after 14 days.

Any knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance 🙂

I'm in the process of letting my property on a guaranteed rent contract as I'm moving abroad and wanted as little involvement as possible in managing the property. I've looked through the terms and conditions of the contract and am happy with most of it except for the part below about the property being vacant for 14 days

This guarantee does not apply if the property is empty due to repairs the Landlord failed to complete. Also, if the property sits vacant for more than 14 consecutive days, the Tenant has the right to cancel the agreement immediately, stopping all future rent payments.

Is that normal? It doesn't feel like they're guaranteeing rent if after 14 days they can just terminate the contract.

I wanted to know from people who are experienced in this whether that is normal or whether I can ask for different terms.

Thanks in advance 🙂
