Does anyone know if that facility takes walk-ins?

The various IRS call center numbers inevitably hang up on you due to "Extremely high call volume" --- even the line for scheduling a local appointment!!

I don't live anywhere close to it, so I'm hoping someone in this sub might know and save me the drive :)

Hello, when I submitted my tax return via FreeTaxUSA, I entered the correct bank account # information but accidentally clicked "Checking" when it was a "Savings" account.

The IRS website claims it was sent the 13th, my bank has no record of it (The bank assumes it was never sent by the IRS due to the incorrect account information)

The IRS website has me a bit confused, and I'm not sure if I should fill out a 3911 form for a missing refund trace (Which says it can take 120 days!!)

Or, if they will automatically catch this on their end and send me a CP53E form - in which case I can fix it on the website and get a new direct deposit, correct?

If anyone has been in this situation before, how long does it typically take for a CP53E form to be sent out?
