Struggling AOPS Volume 1
I'm working through aops volume 1, but it feels like I can't solve anything. Like I do fine in the problems at the start of each chapter, but as it goes on I just hit a brick wall and eventually give up. What should I do to fix this problem? I'm stuck in the first few chapters of the book, and I don't want to keep going without being able to solve the harder problems. What should I do to fix this problem? Also, when should I be done with the book by to qualify for AIME through AMC 10?
Learning Calculus BC
Hi, I will be taking calculus BC next year in high school. What books should I study this summer to get a head start on the content? I'm currently working through the khan academy course for BC so will that be sufficient?

If you got your score for physics 1 can you share what you think you got on the mcq/frq sections so that we can take a guess at what the cutoffs might be? Thanks!
Why Am I Getting So Tripped Up On This Simple Problem?
I am currently working through AOPS Vol 1, and ran into a problem in the first chapter asking to simplify √9,095,625. Of course I can do this given enough time, but how could this be solved quickly? There should be some trick to it, but I don't see a good explanation in the solutions manual, especially since the competitions the book is meant to prepare you for (AMC, AIME) strongly emphasize the importance of speed. I can tell that 5 is a factor, and so is 625 but it feels highly inefficient to repeatedly divide this huge number by its factors. Is there a better way, or am I looking too deep into this?
