I know it's a question that can't really be answer until GRRM finishes the remaining books. I pretty much doubt we will ever get them.

I kinda want to say he did love them but the only reason stopping me is that he only left one Kingsguard behind to protect Elia and the children. A Kingsguard that was around the age of 17. While he took 3 fully grown and battle harden Kingsguard to protect Lyanna, and one of them was considered the greatest swordsmen alive. Why not leave another Kingsguard behind maybe Arthur or Gerold.

I've had this idea pop in my head for several days now after reading a fic of Jon Swon reborn as Daemon son. If the Conqueror was reborn how would that affect the timeline? What path would Aegon take in his current situation? How would he react when he finds out there are no more dragons? How would he deal with the Targaryens being nearly going extinct? How would he react of his family nearly being wiped out by his half brother Orys blood line?

• In 106 AC Daeron and Laena married. Corlys throws the biggest and most expensive wedding that Westeros has ever seen and it lasted 9 days. Shortly after the wedding is over the Iron Islands rebel believing the young King is too weak.

Daeron is be loved by the smallfolk by all the help he has done. Like getting fresh water, paved streets, local bathhouse and jobs. He also gets along with majority of his family. Rhaenys is his biggest supporter and dotes on him from time to time. He also has a good relationship with Corlys and with Viserys as well. The only family member he does not get along with and there's some hatred between them is with Daemon. Daemon consider him a weak king and he believes he could do a better job. Daemon also sees Daeron as an abomination due to he does not have the Valyrian looks, like pale skin, silver gold hair, and purple eyes. Daeron has the body built of a Baratheon, black hair with a streak of silver, and mismatch eyes one purple and the other blue.

Hand: Boremund Baratheon (Daeron remove Otto as Hand after he found out Otto force Alicent to try and seduce him. And in return Daeron not just remove Otto and sent him back home he also in away force a marriage between Alicent and Harwin Strong.)

A day or two ago I asked if Aemon and Jocelyn had a son. After Rhaenys, would he be named heir after Aemon's death, or would the old King Jaehaerys call for a council? Most of y'all—well, no, all of y'all—said he would be heir due to being the only son of the first son. And y'all also said with him there's a high possibility there's no Dance of Dragons.

That said, I want to write a fic about him, but with no dance it'll be boring. So I wanted to ask what other major conflicts can happen.

•One of my thoughts was the theory that the maesters of the Citadel deliberately killed off the dragons. If that comes to light, I believe the Citadel would have the backing of Hightower's, maybe the Reach in whole, and the Faith against the Targaryens.

•Second, I would like to see an event similar to the Red Wedding occur. Maybe between the Reach and Dorne or Stormlands and Dorne.

•Third, I would like to expand on the war for the Stepstones. Having a major character death like Corlys or Daemon. Having to go in all out in a war against Craghas Crabfeeder and Triarchy.

•Fourth, maybe a civil war between Targaryens a lot of years later. Too many dragon riders.

• Fifth, Introduced the others/whites way sooner.

I would like any advice and opinion on wars or conflicts that could happen even though there's no Dance.

About Aerion Targaryen son of Aemon and Jocelyn.

Aerion Targaryen was born a moon and a half earlier than expected, in the 88th year after the conquest. During the birth, Jocelyn experienced complications and unfortunately passed away a day or two later. Due to his early birth, the maesters didn't believe he would survive for long. One day the Good Queen Alysanne placed a dragon egg on Aerion's crib, believing if it hatched and bonded with him, his health would improve. Unfortunately, the dragon never hatched, but it turned to stone and cold as ice as Aerion's health improved rapidly. This led almost everyone in the royal family to believe that the dragon within the egg had sacrificed its life for Aerion, and they began calling him the miracle dragon.

Right before his 4th name day his father Aemon is killed at Tarth. Making him the next heir after Jaehaerys. Rhaenys try to take Aerion with to Driftmark and raise him but it was denied by the King. At a early age Aerion began to learn on how to be a king. Before his death Baelon was named regent in cased the King would passed and Aerion would be of age.

In the year 101 Rhaenys was named Aerion's regent after Baelon’s death. She served for several moons until Aerion's 16 named day in the year 103.

What if Prince Aemon and Lady Jocelyn had a son? Let's say this child was born around the year 88, give or take. Let's name him Aerion. But in this AU timeline, Lady Jocelyn dies during childbirth. Aemon still dies at Tarth in the year 92, leaving behind Rhaenys and Aerion.

The years pass, and Aerion is raised by Rhaenys alongside Laena and Laenor. Then Baelon dies as in canon.

Now my question is, would King Jaehaerys make Aerion heir over Rhaenys and Viserys? This would probably make Corlys somewhat angry for choosing Rhaenys since she is firstborn, but then he would push for Aerion to marry Laena, thus still having his blood in the throne.

Or

Would Jaehaerys still call for a great council to choose the next heir since he probably thinks Aerion is still too young? And in this chase the great council still selects Viserys to be king. In this case, Jaehaerys is not just pissing off Corlys and Rhaenys. Corlys is upset for not choosing Rhaenys as the firstborn, while Rhaenys believes Aerion should inherit the throne because he is the only son of Aemon and Jocelyn. But Otto is also mad because Viserys made Yorwyck heir and he believes Yorwyck is the same as his father. Daemon is also mad his no longer heir but what makes it ever worse is that his son is heir. A son he never bothered seeing last time he saw is son was shortly after his birth. Daemon felt disappointed, mocked, and insulted by Rhea and Yorwyck. Rhea chose to give him a Royce name instead of a Targaryen like Daemon wanted. He also hates that Yorwyck does not have the full Valiryan look. He was born with dark brown hair with a streak of silver on his right side and mismatched eyes one purple and the other gray.

Yorwyck and Rhaenyra marry shortly after he is made heir. While Viserys and Laena married 2 years later after her first blood.

Corlys takes advantage when Viserys dies sooner that expect as Yorwyck and Rhaenyra are visiting Jeyne at the Vale.

Maybe throw in Daemon as well make it a 3 way fight for the throne. Blue (team Velaryon) vs Black (team Targaryen) vs Red (Team Daemon)

But Otto is also mad because Viserys made Yorwyck heir and he believes Yorwyck is the same as his father. Daemon is also mad his no longer heir but what makes it ever worse is that his son is heir. A son he never bothered seeing last time he saw is son was shortly after his birth. Daemon felt disappointed, mocked, and insulted by Rhea and Yorwyck. Rhea chose to give him a Royce name instead of a Targaryen like Daemon wanted. He also hates that Yorwyck does not have the full Valiryan look. He was born with dark brown hair with a streak of silver on his right side and mismatched eyes one purple and the other gray.

Yorwyck and Rhaenyra marry shortly after he is made heir. While Viserys and Laena married 2 years later after her first blood.

Corlys takes advantage when Viserys dies sooner that expect as Yorwyck and Rhaenyra are visiting Jeyne at the Vale.

If Baelon had survive what changes would have happened in House of Dragon timeline.

Baelon would be Viserys heir right. He would push Daemon down and with no "Heir for a day" speech Rhaenyra wouldn't be considered to heir for Viserys.

With Aemma still dying would Viserys remarried again. I feel he would because the Targaryen numbers are low and with Daemon and Rhea not having any children he might consider it and he marries Alicent and still has Aegon, Aemon, Helaena, and Daeron.

Baelon marriage the only ones that are for considered would be Helaena. I don't think there's any other option than Helaena unless I'm missing someone.

With Baelon as heir there's no Dance correct. I don't think Otto is dumb enough to say Aegon should be his heir and not Baelon. I think with Helaena married to Baelon he should be happy with that.
