Can women really go 2–3+ years without sex in a long-distance relationship?
Can women genuinely go without sex for years while waiting for their long-distance partner?
Not asking in a judgmental way, I’m genuinely curious about real experiences and perspectives.
In long-term LDRs, especially when couples deeply love each other but can’t meet for years due to studies, finances, visas, family, etc., do women actually stay sexually loyal/content for that long? Like 2–3 years or more without physical intimacy?
I know emotional connection matters a lot, but physical needs are still human too. Some people say women can emotionally detach from sex easier, others say that’s completely false.
Would love honest answers from women who’ve actually been through it:
- What made it manageable?
- Was emotional intimacy enough?
- Did it ever become frustrating or lonely?
- Did it affect attraction or the relationship over time?
And for men in LDRs too.... how did you handle the uncertainty and trust side of things?
Please keep it respectful. I’m more interested in understanding real human experiences than stereotypes.
