Halp!

I am getting the hang of securing stones and cabochons with larger gauge wire, but the wrapping part still looks crazy and sloppy. What I struggle with is, how do you start where one end is unsecured? Also, when I try weaving, I get very inconsistent lengths. Also, how do you prevent running out of wrapping wire but still have a manageable amount? Any tips?

Little Owls 🥰

Had these beads forever and didn’t know what to do with them. Finally, made this and got some compliments!

Do you have beads in your stash you’ve been trying to use but couldn’t decide on how to assemble them? How did you break the mental block?

My first tree of life!

I struggle with neatness, but I at least: 1.) Trapped the stone. 2.) Made it look like a tree. 3.) Didn’t forget to include a bale.

I am not going to quit, I will keep trying… thankfully, I have a five lbs bag of polished stones with which to do so…

First Time Wire Wrapping

This is just from experiment on my own, but where are people learning advanced techniques? The back of my work still looks a mess. I am very inspired by the great work on here.

Made Butter for First Time

Life changing. Made some regular salted, unsalted, and a compound butter from the same batch. Just put some heavy cream in a mason jar and shook it silly for several minutes until it separated.

Croknitting/Knitchet?

As an avid bi-stitchual crafter, I love combining knit and crochet into projects at the same time to piss off the purists. Here is my latest monstrosity that would get me banned from the other subs. Enjoy.

This is a combo knitting/crochet poncho. Some of the black is my handspun yarn.
