1000km on my fixed gear beater
Im starting a 1000km trip this weekend on my orange beast, looking for any advice from someone who has done anything like that before.
My setup: 46x18 gear ratio, brooks c17 seat, 40mm g-one continental tires,front rack for my waterproof bag, bullhorns with mini horn close grip, front brake.
Yes, the chain is stretched, Ill put on a fresh chain, chainring and cog tomorrow and will break it in on a 100km ride to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Ill be staying in hostels or guesthouses, no camping gear, just my sleeping bag for an emergency situation.
A bike is a bike and I love mine, so dont nitpick on it.
