How important are political endorsements?

Francesca Hong came up short against David Crowley in the Democratic primary for Wisconsin governor. The race was extremely close, there was less than a 1% difference between the candidates.

Francesca Hong failed to secure endorsements from Bernie Sanders and AOC. Do you believe she would have won with those endorsements?

How important are political endorsements? Are endorsements compelling enough to change a voter's decision between candidates? Do endorsements hold enough power to engage a non-voter to vote?

What are your thoughts on this voter trend from the recent New York primaries?

I've been enjoying all the excitement and enthusiasm that Mayor Mamdani, and the candidates he has endorsed, have generated with their recent performance in the New York primaries.

As a result, I wanted to look into which voters drove the success of these candidates. I was looking at results on the NY Times and one trend caught my attention. The candidates that Mayor Mamdani endorsed underperformed in low income areas.

  • Claire Valdez - 62% in high income, 31% in low income
  • Brad Lander - 70% in high income, 43% in low income
  • Darializa Avila Chevalier - 51% in high income, 42% in low income

What are your thoughts on this trend? Why did their message resonate with higher income voters? How can progressive candidates message more successfully to lower income and working class voters?

Has politics entered a new era of grace, understanding and forgiveness?

Has the continued support for Graham Platner marked a new era in how we view the past of political candidates?

He has been extended a great deal of patience and understanding for his past by both political commentators and supporters.

Will we see more candidates with baggage as viable candidates? Did Eric Swalwell fail to recognize this moment, should he have continued his candidacy?

We recently had a Cornhole tournament at work and it was extremely fun, but I was completely outclassed.

How can I get better? Are there training plans and drills that help new players build their skills in the game?

I'd like to get some boards to practice with in the backyard, any suggestion?

Finally, what are some bags that are well suited for new players?
