So for long I’ve (28F) been putting myself out there because the was a time where I took a pause from dating and now as I take it seriously to be open minded.
It’s feels like online is so inhumane; umatches, ghosting etc.
In person socials are clique and most want to dance or spend time with those they know.
I really desire to connect with a nerd that’s both a homebody but likes to keep fit and disciplined. ( although not as nerdy but this is what I’m like a bit- I’m a language geek who likes running/trailing about the mountains)
Someone who is not afraid to be in silent together while we recuperate from work or just reading- but also ready to travel around as well.
It’s difficult for me to be in social spaces- I’m a bit of an introvert so it can be difficult to be truly me.
PS I’m in Africa but I’ve lived in 3 countries out of the continent.
Can we hear the positives of this sometimes discouraging journey?

Im looking to save up and move to this place after my 3month probation at my new job.
The place is close to work- cuts a ton from transport money.

I read some of the posts here that disillusioned me from the thought that my sexual urges would be satisfied in marriage.
As a woman sometimes having a high libido is not considered our problem.
And that’s one of the things that I find challenging within the single Christian community (and some married couples’ advice)
Of course I have a past but I also have made effort to work on myself and my past traumas (one of which was church related) and I have a counsellor from my church community that’s walking with me at the moment.
The struggle I have is that I’m finding myself stuck with trying to put myself out there and not finding someone I can click with both physically and intellectually. I refuse to believe that one should only look for “personality” part of a relationship is finding one’s partner attractive.
What helped you to not give up before finding your spouse- especially considering some of your must haves and nice to haves…?

I used to play but I stopped for a while- thought to find out if there are people already in a group or open to form one. Even if it’s fortnightly.
