Habitat review + proposed changes
This is our 5 year old female Twig's space.
After deep diving on some posts last night I want some feedback...
Currently:
🔹️Paper towel substrate
🔹️Arcadia Jungle Dawn LED bar
🔹️Clay heat lamp
🔹️calcium / no d3 - always available
🔹️Calcium with d3 on mealworms and crickets when she'll take crickets
🔹️cool end (left) and her bathroom is in that L corner hide
🔹️Warm hide R front with humid hide
I'm happy to say she is climbing and enjoying herself a lot more these past few months. She was extremely timid for a few years. They really scared us about handling her at first and then became completely scared of us.
Things I want to add/change:
🔸️Climbing cork wall on cool end
🔸️substrate - topsoil, sand, clay from the middle to the cool end
🔸️Slate tile for under her warm hide
🔸️Vitamins - change to Repashy calcium plus
🔸️stuff the top of the log on left so that she doesn't get stuck
🔸️add living plants to the substrate for more hiding
❔️with the dirt substrate, are there any risks/tips
❔️does the above sound like it will be nicely enriched
Thank you for any advice or feedback!
Twig 🦎 and I appreciate it.
