Needing and wanting a trader joe’s here bad. Seems like a lot of franchises and such have popped up with the past few years and I was able to manifest a Canes coming here so now putting it out there to get a Trader Joe’s up and running here.

Zedd at State Fair

I am very much contemplating of driving up to ND from Sioux Falls SD simply just to see Zedd. Not to stereotype or anything but will the crowd even be popping like that for an EDM artist?

Just wanting to get a scope if the crowd will be a good vibe is all.

What is a livable wage here?

I am considering job offers post grad in Sioux Falls and just wondering what a livable wage is here to see if I should be negotiating.

I would want and plan to rent a one bedroom on my own. I love to cook so most meals will be at home. I do have the typical recommendation of having three months rent saved up + more too so I’m not starting at 0. I do live pretty frugally as well never buying the newest gadgets and things and whatever so yeah any advice and answers will help. Thanks in advance!

Do I get my MBA?

I’m currently 21 graduating in two weeks with a bachelors in CIS & Business Administration with a minor in CS. Up until two weeks ago I was set on moving back home and starting a full time position there until I got a call and offer from a really good company here in the city I go to university at where they offer tuition reimbursement. It wouldn’t cover the whole MBA but a really decent chunk and my university has a program where if you go into a graduate program they will trying to keep your same scholarships/make it relatively the same price you have been paying for your undergrad. I should note my school isn’t some top 20 school or anything as well. So now I am unsure on what position to take and what to do. I know people say MBAs should be done when you have experience under your belt and so is taking this new position worth it? I am also just scared of the uncertainty of the economy right now too but also scared of regretting just moving back home just because that is what I am most comfortable with. Is MBA even worth it anymore?

Company back home:
- wouldn’t pay for rent as moving back with parents
- having social life back as I stayed close with all my hometown friends
- going back to company interned with for 3.5 years (during school & summer) and I dislike the culture there due to many reasons but mainly bc it’s a boys club and I am the only girl as well as the youngest
- republican company
- closer to family
- technically cost of living cheaper in this state not by much though
- literal trash benefits (no 401k match, PTO amount bumped only after working there for 3 years but they are resetting my clock as I was only a measly intern)

Company w/ tuition reimbursement:
- heard work culture is great, women leaders
- liberal company
- way better benefits (401k match, more PTO off bat, accrued PTO/PTO bank) & higher pay (only by a dollar)
- would have to pay for rent & being fully independent/alone
- tuition reimbursement given once you work there for a year

Career goals: note I recognize I am still young and figuring it all out which is a blessing and a curse. I am attracted towards project management within IT and or some type of compliance manager role especially with usages of AI.

I actually have to figure this all out in two weeks on top of finals and everything else with graduating so I am all ears to any and all advice even if it just blunt. If there are any questions I am happy to answer as well.

evening and or weekend jobs?

looking for part time positions that are flexible to work evenings/nights and or just the weekend. Just wanting to fill my time and more money with the state of the economy doesn’t hurt.

I have a background in customer service roles IT, receptionist, retail but open to anything.

thanks in advance <3

Interested to know which companies do any type of tuition reimbursement and if information on how it works and how long you need to work there for is known I would appreciate that too. Thanks in advance!

I moved back to Lincoln recently and use to work at Jcpenneys a few years back and am kind of interested in working there again just part time.

I am curious if anybody knows and or has any reviews on how penney’s is now a days? Is it still up and running good or bound to close in the next few years and be added onto the RIP list of Sears and Yonkers.

Hi I am currently in my last year of undergrad and would not have been able to graduate if it wasn’t for my Korean professor who let me do an independent study with him so I could work to finish off paying for my last year. I wanted to show him my deepest gratitude and gift him something with our last one on one meeting approaching.

He is a very reserved guy and has like nothing in his office besides his compute, chair, and some textbooks so I can’t assess his personality from there. He has a very extensive and impressive education with a PHD and before becoming a professor he was working for a top 50 fortune 500 company for over a decade. He is a business professor focusing on HR and Project Management and the importance of ethics within those. I know he is married and has two younger kids. I believe he came to the states around a decade ago based off his LinkedIn. I know his favorite food is seafood and he misses South Korea deeply because of seafood since there isn’t good seafood where we live. He also travels every now and then to speak at conferences. That is kind of all I know.

I happen to be Asian myself but not Korean so should I follow the same gifting protocol that my ethnicity follows of just like bulk buying something from Costco like ferro rocher?? A gift card to a local seafood market in our town maybe??

I am taking any and all suggestions, advice, and help on this I really do want to show him my gratitude through something well thought out instead of just a basket of junk that he isn’t going to use. Thanks in advance!
