Student loan moving to Dubai

I’m considering taking a job in Dubai and wondering if anyone else has moved and what student finance can do while you’re there. I’m on a plan 5 loan so would have to pay 9% over 25k (which i’d prefer to avoid) Do they have any jurisdiction over there?

SCOTLAND - landlord trying to take deposit for work that hasn’t been done

original post https://www.reddit.com/r/TenantsInTheUK/s/llWaoR3adx

Landlord is trying to charge for work that hasn’t been carried out!!!! We moved out 5 weeks ago now and they still haven’t provided evidence via the deposit scheme. The damage was one burn mark from a candle. They also provided a cleaning invoice but the flat was still covered in cobwebs and dusty skirting boards when the next tenant moved in (our friends) so no cleaning was actually carried. The flat was dirty when we moved in and the walls were covered in marks

searching for a med job in july

Hi everyone,

I’m from the UK and I’m thinking about trying to get into the yachting industry this summer as green crew.

I graduate at the beginning of July, so I can’t realistically get out to Antibes before then. My plan was to do my STCW and ENG1 in July and then head to Antibes/South of France afterwards to look for daywork and hopefully a permanent position.

I’ve worked in housekeeping and also worked bars/service at large events, so I do have hospitality/customer service experience, although no yacht experience yet.

My main questions are:
- Is July/August too late in the season to realistically find work as green crew?
- Is it still worth going to Antibes at that point?
- Would you recommend applying to agencies before arriving, or is it mainly about being there in person?
- Any advice on the best way to actually land that first job?

Appreciate any honest advice just trying to understand whether this is realistic before spending the money to go out there.

So I got my hair done a few days ago, but it’s darker than when i went in😫.

They the foils too close together and didn't leave them in long enough, so when it lifted, it was very orangey. So I went back yesterday and they put the foils back in, further spaced out and then put semi-permanent colour to try and match my root in between the others.

However, the all-over colour and colour at the root is just way too dark and darker than my natural. Really would appreciate any help how to fix this quickly. I’ve ordered Malibu Quick Fix and will get head and shoulders shampoo but any other suggestions? Would the bleach london white toner work after washing out the current toner? I just really don’t feel like me😓
