I LOVE Chuck. I got him to prestige 2 without playing in heist nor hot zone. I believe he is a really unique brawler because every game feels different in a way.

However, he needed a rework. The heist situation was a problem, and we got one. I find frustrating that they had to need his dash damage and remove the pole knock back. But given the high mobility and the easiness to build your first setup and rebuild it along the game with the 4 supers thing, I don't think they "ruined him".

If so, they made him better. He will still be a good last pick in heist, and will make him around B tier and a playable brawler for everybody, not just us freestyle / high skill Chuck players.

Who already dominated old Chuck , will still do, because he will have more mobility, more control over the map and a greater potential (even if he can't use his poles to knock back assassins, because he will now have more dashes)

By the way. I don't see enough people talking about how good his ghost train gadget now is. The fire for 8 seconds pays for the dash damage nerf he got.

Plus, with this rework, Supercell shows they actually care for once to balance Chuck and make him a good brawler. So if he turns out to be weak, they might even buff him or give him his knockback back.

Anyways, only time will tell. Nobody of us has tried the new Chuck yet. Im just telling you guys, give new Chuck a chance: Because if you start using him thinking hes bad, you'll actually not like him.

So, slide 2 are my resources (plus 7 resource keys). I'm missing a buffie from Bibi, Frank, Griff, Brock and Leon. I have every brawler power 9. New buffies coming soon, I don't know whether I should buy gears, max brawlers, or wait for new Buffies next season.

I would like to max Bolt and Cordelius, however I don't have their star powers (or even Bolts gadget), and I feel like using coins to get them is a bit of a waste.

What should I do?

I am aware that gears are important: Vision and Speed are Insanely good. Health goes well for tanky brawlers, as well as shield for squishy brawlers. Damage is good overall and changes some interactions. Gadget cooldown is... There, I guess...

However, in a time where to get 3 buffies of a brawler (if you're lucky) you need 3000 coins, 2000 for a Star Power, 1000 for a gadget (if you mind not having both for ranked) and around 7700 coins to max a brawler from P1 to P11... (And I didn't mention hypercharges because I usually buy them for gems)

Paying 2000 for some gears that will impact not even a 10% of what a gadget does doesn't make sense. Let's say I want to max the new brawler. These don't have buffies or hypercharges, but I would still need 10700 coins. Add 2000 more if you want gears.

If you want to keep it up with new brawlers, new buffies and hypercharges like I do, buying gears isn't an option because they feel like they don't offer enough for what they cost.

And for some reason they feel exclusive. You can get every other part of the brawlers sets from drops, including buffies from ultra chaos drops. Why can't we get gears too? Sure. You used to get them before the rework... And the gears rework was needed, but in 2026, we need a way to get them cheaper or easier. Maybe lowering their price to 500 would be an option, oe making them available in epic or mythic drops as a "Free Gear" option.

Plus Frank Supercell already talked about this on X. He owns a free to play account and sometimes updates us with what he does. In the summary from the weeks 15+16, this is what he said:

"I wish I could get Gears from drops as well (who knows, maybe something we should work on?!)."

Hope we get cheaper or more accessible gears some day... Also does everybody feels like this or am I crazy?

Yeah, records could've been implemented way better, but for those who do farm it (like me), it's such a shame that they took them away the little pop up (it doesn't feel that much like an achievement now), as well as the button in the lobby AND also from your battle card... I know they will remove them eventually, but for those who do enjoy them, make them more noticeable... And yeah I had to take this screenshot from a youtube video
